Painted some pretty princesses yesterday!
I did! Kindergarten & 1st grade!
It was so much fun and helped me with practicing my painting, even got a gig

So pretty, and the kids were obviously thrilled - look at those smiles! I love the way each girl's design is a little different, with colours nicely suited to each skin tone.

Re: Painted some pretty princesses yesterday!
i love your roses Im trying to practice mine but I'm totally failing
Re: Painted some pretty princesses yesterday!
Thank you both!
Kammy Thank you for noticing! I'm trying to limit my kit to, pretty much, a variety of one strokes and split cakes. I'm best with those. So I tried out with 2 one strokes and some white and I got through so many girls in an hour and a half.
Ash Well thank you! Those kids were helping me with practicing different sizes and placements of flowers and rosebuds. Tool me awhile but I can knock them out now

Re: Painted some pretty princesses yesterday!
I wonder if one strokes will make it a little easier for me. I have regular rainbow cakes but its a little harder to get all the colors lol. What brush do you use for them?
Re: Painted some pretty princesses yesterday!
1 strokes are a blessing for anyone wanting to do roses
I use a regular brush from Michaels. I think the brand is creativitology (?) something like that. It's a 3/4 flat and it came with lots of other shapes I needed! It's been around 6 months and I'm about to replace it because its starting to split.
I received about 9 brushes in the pack for $8.

Ill have to go get some of those! I bought washer brushes thinking it would be the same thing but I don't think they hold the shape as well. So ill be on my way to Michaels after work lol I love all the cakes i just wanna buy them all I swear Im gonna go broke lol
Re: Painted some pretty princesses yesterday!
The brand is Creatology (looked it up so I didn't stir you wrong ) but seriously they are sturdy and strong! Pretty awesome
Me too! I love all the splits! Have you been on the One Stroke Painting page on FB? Someone is having a sale on mini one strokes for $5! It's a steal. I can definitely direct you to them

Gah, I'm in that group but I'm in the UK and the shipping would make them a no-go for me!
I shall now proceed to sulk.

With a lot of practice roses are really fun and easy with the onestrokes.
And these colors are really beautifull!

Re: Painted some pretty princesses yesterday!
Today I received two of those colors, ordered at studio jolie (Netherlands), these small rainbowcakes are going to be replaced by other sizes (at least.. the models they sell in the Netherlands made bij PartyXplosion, don't know if it's just the same factory or it's the same as DiamondFX).
Also had a nice deal: € 2,35 per color! (I bought the first and the third one on that sale picture)

Those are really sweet Katurah. Good job, the little girls look thrilled.
Re: Painted some pretty princesses yesterday!
pretty Pretty pretty - nice work. I did a little girl as a princess for her 3rd Birthday and her Dad wanted to be the same - First time I have seen that, but it was adorable. She was so tickled that her dad did that, she giggled and giggled..very heart warming.

Thank you & how absolutely sweet is that story
Re: Painted some pretty princesses yesterday!
Oh Katurah .... your princesses are adorable!!!! Love what you've done and it's clear the kids loved it too What I especially love about your designs are that they enhance, not overwhelm. When I paint, I sometimes tend to go overboard with "just one more" this and "just one more" that ... hahahaha! Thanks for the inspiration.
