Halloween pics to share!

So I got a wild hair last night and made a "Halloween" blending cake out of DFX Neon Purple, Neon Orange, Light Green and Metallix Gold. It was so nice and everyone on my job loved it. Luckily I had all these colors as scrapes from other cake butchering incidence.

ENJOY! The first one is me! THe pumkin is "borrowed" from Debi's Doodles.

Wow, that is cool. I would have expected the purple and Orange and the orange and green to muck up to a dirty brown....they look awesome with no mucking. Excellent.

That is what I thought and got lucky. Seems like DFX or Wolfe doesn't blend as well so you can put contrasting colors together like pink and green and they stay. But if you want the colors to blend into each other to make other colors you have to use other brands or mix them for different effects.

Very nice color combination and designs.

I have been comtemplating selling custom color rainbow cakes. You tell me the colors you want and I can do a test and then you decide if you want it. I am just trying to figure out how it would work. I just really love having the cakes to do super quick butterflies, tigers, dogs and cats to sponge on. The ABC cakes are good for those who like to do a lot of brush work, but I like to sponge on the bulk of mine and those are just too small for that purpose. I made on out of DFX Gold, Neon Pink and Light blue and it really rocked also.

If anyone wants the Halloween cake, PM me. It would give me something to do some testing with. It is one of those things that are great to have, but not so great to buy 4 full cakes. I also want to come up with some Christmas/Winter Ones. I just want to make a good quality, value product, but still make a small profit.

It would be slightly larger cake than the ABC with most likely only 3-4 colors. Still experimenting.

I could have used one of those split cakes today must have done 50 butterflies in similar colors. Could I get one for next weekends parties?

I also like the idea of doing the split cakes ! How much would you be charging for one of those? It would be fun to test, and I've been contemplating getting some more necessities from the shop anyway...
