Last year, I started learning to face paint so I could do it for our church fair. Very quickly, this retired RN on a fixed income found a new calling. I like to say, where else can you be creative, make people smile AND get paid for it? At FABAIC, I decided I was ready to make the leap to creating my own designs. (Thank You Christina Davidson) Up till recently, I've been "putting my own spin" on things I've seen. Well... our church built a new building & moved in this spring, complete with state of the art A/V equipment. Guess who's coordinating the weekly opening segment (DVD song) for Sunday School? I know, get to the point! The first song is "The Butterfly Song" that was popular w/vacation Bible School. This song is about a lot of animals. I decided to face paint most of the kids with the animals in the song. Easy, since I've already done several that are named in the song. The only one I had never seen was a Robin. Please tell me what you think. Planning on using both designs: smaller as cheek art or on a little one's arm. Any suggestions? BTW...I KNOW Perry could have said this in 2 sentences!
