Painting under very hot weather!
Hi there! A Spanish newbie over here needs a little bit of help
I will be painting next Saturday in a mid inside/outside event
(old school with a big path), to raise money for homeless dogs.
The point is we have here 33/35º C (about 100º F).
I have been searching here for some tips but "hot" does not find any results :S
Please, if you know any related topic, let me know
or give me a piece of advice... first time I paint in such a hot summer
MANY THANKS FOR YOUR HELP AND TIME!!!!
Re: Painting under very hot weather!
I have not used the starblends yet..But everyone here is raving about the for the hot weather..Perhaps type in Starblends and see what comes up in the search box.
Re: Painting under very hot weather!
Starblends are best, but it looks like you have a Snazaroo Pallet. If that's the case, keep it on ice packs. If you can have an extra black & white that can be rotated in & out of a cooler. Sanzaroo is the worst paint to work w/ in high temps. Better to go w/ Paradise or Kryolan.

THANKS GIRLS
Yes, I have two SNAZAROO pallets, a few of PARADISE (black, white, purple, violet, blue, turquoise...) and some TAG.
I will stick on Paradise and TAG... and some arm designs....

Re: Painting under very hot weather!
I have been thinking about bringing my sponges wet... I think it would be useful they come wet... so paint will need less paint itself....
Re: Painting under very hot weather!
Too much water will actually make things worse. I bring a small spray bottle that can mist the water onto my sponges. I spritz the sponge 2-3 times & then load it w/ the paint. You want it to be just wet enough that the sponge will release the paint, but not so wet that it's drippy. Pat/press the paint onto the face. Don't drag it or swipe it onto the face. Don't spray your paints.
For the paint brush, dip it in water & just get a small section of your paint wet (I like to poke a hole into it & add water as needed). Keep just this area wet & do all your linework from it.
Snazaroo doesn't do great linework, so stick to your TAG or Paradise.
I hope this helps! I paint in Florida heat all the time

Awwww, many many thanks!
These tips are going to help me greatly... I painted a lot of children in a big festival in April, it was my first festival everything went well (Snazaroo for bases and TAG and Paradise for linework) but it was an indoor event.
This is different as our summer is always very hot (about 35º C and very hot air).
BIG HUG FROM SPAIN!

Yai!! It was a success!! I got some money for the dogs and painted more than 30 faces and arms in 3 hours, great for me...
Your tips worked out very good, TAG and Paradise get on well with our hot weather.
THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP
Re: Painting under very hot weather!
Ole,ole, a new Spanish member on the forum! Where do you live in Spain? I live near Benidorm, on the Mediterranean Coast, so I totally understand you about our hot and wet weather. I use Snaz because I can't buy any other brand near my town and, as I just paint for fun -not a pro-, I can't spend a fortune buying on line and paying scary shipping (could you please PM me and tell me where do you get your TAG and Paradise paints?). Someone on the forum (of course) gave me the tip of using those frozen trays to keep my paints cold and I also put them in the fridge a few hours before the event. It really works for me.
Welcome to the forum, so glad to have you here!
