How did you end up doing 160 instead of 80...what??? Good for you that were even able to handle that.

I was there for 2 hours and 15 minutes so I painted 160 kids. I think there were a couple more from the pre-k class that weren't supposed to be painted but snuck in.

I had another mom that tried to keep the kids off of the tables and their fingers out of my paints.

She also helped dump my water and get me fresh every 20 or 40 kids or so, or whenever we could. It was a MAD house I tell a complete mad house. Not to mention the fact there was the "I want a blue dragon not a black one."

"I want bloody eyes" "Is that all you do"

My responses was either whining right back at them. "I would loooveee to give you a bluuuueee dragon, but everyone in the school needs to get painted first, then we will see."

I can do more but not today.

If you don't have good maners and if you whine, you will NOT get painted. that shut them up REAL quick. Plus the kids that had just come with us to Chuck E Cheese to my son's birthday party knew I don't take crap from kids. LOL

OMG....surely you use a spray bottle, but not to wet the color, to color their faces! geek

I'm happy to hear that you survived!!

I'm painting for my daughter's 4th grade picnic next week for about 2 hours. About 120 kids but I'm sure not all will want to be painted.

Macey (daughter) & I are working on what we will be offering & you've given me a good idea.
I will be adding a caveat to the menu board...

OMG Angela. That's got to be a new record for "normal" face painting. I wish someone had taken a video. Of course, if it got out, you'd have someone calling saying "I saw that you can do 70 kids per hour!" Yikes!

Yeah they all weren't perfect that's for sure. But they were all happy and really was just glad they were done. The flowers were a little lopsided and some of the scorpions well.....
I just patted them, said you're good, next. I never ever ever ever want to do that AGAIN.

Yeah, I like it for that reason too. It covers almost all their face and is still quick. Isn't it nice to know that for corporate situations or long lines that you have the skills to get through a line. I have one this weekend and I'm going to try and push myself to try and get up to 30/hour...just for fun!??

Well for fun you are crazy girl! I did for the school and for the kids. LOL I can do that dragon in my sleep. I did it in different colors at first but stopped because I didn't have enough 3/4" flat brushes with. So they just got black. Some girls wanted it in purple and pink and and and. LOL yeah it's an awesome design. I'm glad I stalk your page. Laughing

That's crazy! The one gig I did like that was simple one stroke butterflies, spiders, snakes, flowers and rainbows with little or no outlining. I hope you got paid for this. Poor woman!

This was the first mistake I made. I volunteered to FP at my sons school and they pre-sold tickets so at closing time I still had a line of approx 30 kids that had all paid, so parents expected them to be painted. I decided not to even complain and I stayed 2 additional hours, the school was locked and janitors were done cleaning before I was done. No complaints, everyone loved it, but I wil NEVER do that again. It was my fault, it was my very first FP gig, I hadn't considered so many things. I learned a lot.
