snazaroo red stained kids.
So I bought all the basic colors of snazaroo. I did a party last saturday and got a call back from the mommy I did the party for because a couple of the parents complained that the RED stained there childs face for up to 2 days. Any reccomendations on what I can do? is there other reds that DONT stain?

Re: snazaroo red stained kids.
Hope you find your answer! I can't be of much help because I use snazaroo and haven't had a complaint of staining yet.

Re: snazaroo red stained kids.
How it was taken off does play a big factor in staining.
If you just wipe off the paint with water and a washcloth, or a baby wipe, staining can definitely occur.
I forget who originally posted it, but I've found the best method for removing paint is rubbing some soap or gentle cleanser directly onto the paint, leaving the painty mess on for 30 seconds, then wiping off. And voila, no staining!
That's the method I describe on the back of my business card, and I make sure to give the mum a handful to give to the kids with painted faces.

Re: snazaroo red stained kids.
I never have any problems with red, green on the other hand... but the advice I always give to parents is to use mild soap and water or even baby shampoo since it won't sting their eyes with a soft wash cloth. If there is any staining, to put some moisturizer or baby oil on their skin for a few minutes and wash again. It should all come off after that. If they think snaz red is bad, I'd hate to see them trying to get wolfe black off!!
Re: snazaroo red stained kids.
I was told Johnson's baby shampoo from the gals at Disney for removing the paints.

This is what I do & it works perfectly every time. If I use the same soap though, but wet the skin BEFORE applying it, it takes about 4 or 5 washes and still leaves staining.

Same here, on both accounts.
That was a hard lesson learned. But what a difference to get it right, one simple and gentle wash and it all comes off so easily!!
Denise posted a video with instructions. Her and Emma's antics make me giggle. Thanks Denise!

Re: snazaroo red stained kids.
I never have had a red stain... but, like others, greens, blues and yellows! Depends on brands, but never Snaz red.
They have to wash with soap and water, and usually a wash cloth.
Do people NOT bathe children in the tub anymore?????

Re: snazaroo red stained kids.
lol.. That was probably the problem.because when I went to wipe it off it was with a baby wipe. That is a great idea to put on the back of cards. One mommy asked me how to take it off and I did tell them baby soap. Maybe the other mommys just wiped off not washed..=)

Re: snazaroo red stained kids.
Putting the instructions on the back of your card is a great excuse to hand your card to EVERYONE not just the parents that ask if you do parties. I've had mommies snatch them out of my hands at parties when one of the moms mentioned they had a painter and the paints wouldn't come off (acrylic maybe?)
I just explain that using the washcloth and lather lifts the paint off the skin vs using just water that activates the paint again and pushes into the skin.

Re: snazaroo red stained kids.
I'm using the same method (EmmaDenise) and use the microfiber cloth.
They're cheap over here, in nice colours and designs.
The one giving the party or having belly painted, gets one as a present, including washing instructions.
They love it!

I use Snaz red for most of my designs (even my Spidey faces) and I've never had a complaint about it. Can't say the same for GREEN AND BLUE!

Good idea L!zzie. I've wondered how much little kits would cost but one for the hostess would be a great idea.

Smart idea! When I get some cards I'll have to do that
Re: snazaroo red stained kids.
*GASP* Why have I never thought about giving away the dollar store baby wash cloths???? 6 for a dollar and they are so nice and soft!! It's all I ever use on my own face... spectacular!!!
Re: snazaroo red stained kids.
I'll have to look for those. I've seen the big microfiber ones but I haven't been in the baby section for a long time.

Re: snazaroo red stained kids.
This is the back of my business card:
Removal Instructions
Take a damp cloth & gently press over the design. Rinse & repeat a few times.
Add 1 -2 drops of tearless shampoo to the cloth & gently wash your face. Don’t scrub. Repeat if necessary.
Rinse & you’re done!
Some paints are high pigment & minimal staining may occur.
If staining occurs, moisturize, wait 30 minutes & rewash your face!
