logo help please !

I am looking for some help for my logo .I know what I want,I just have no idea how to do it .do any of you have any suggestions where to go on line or other wise.

isuzy- i am wanting some brightly colored gears (maybe neon) with a paint brush angled over the top ,and thinking the tip of the brush touching the business name -fun factory face painting- the letters with the dripping paint look. I have no clue if it will work ,but when I go to get my new cards I would really like zebra print background.
I was thinking my idea was very simple but as I type it seem complicated .

Here are 2 different cards I worked on for you...I think the Zebra stripes are very distracting, and they really don't have anything to do with your facepainting. SEe what you think! I'm not a professional graphic designer, but I do this on the side with my professional photography studio. My husband is in school right now for that, but he's not here, so he'd probably hate it!

wow!!! that is great. I had a little different layout in mind ( and colors) you are right about the zebra print .what do you think about the band on top? I LOVE the gear in the o of factory why didn't I think of that ?LOLWhen I do my cards I will do the rest of the info in back for balance and make it easy to read.?.the gears in my drawing could be bigger I think.

and WOW again I was not thinking any one would whip this right up-more like send me to the right company for a good price. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS ANY THING i CAN DO FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very cute Darlene!! I love the top design but would leave the paint brush off since the quality of it doesn't match the font quality. LOVE those gears.

Vista Print is the best place for cheap good looking 2 sided colored cards.
hERE'S another with the zebra incorporated at the bottom--msg me and we can work something out!

ZEBRA STRIPES COULD GO ALL THE WAY TO THE EDGE.

THE GEARS COULD BE BIGGER AND BOLDER (MAYBE DETAILED LIKE DARLENE'S?)VARIED IN SIZE RED-BIGGEST YELLOW-MED ORANGE-SMALLEST . THE GEAR IN FACTORY SAME AS WHAT EVER YOU DO TO THE RED ONE BUT SIZED THE SAME AS THE LETTERS.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE BRUSH HORIZONTAL UNDER THE NAME WITH A WAVEY LINE TO THE EDGE OF THE CARD OR A WAVY LINE INTO MY NAME - OR BY KERRIE ARMSTRONG? ALL BLACK?

Man I wish I had a paint program on my new puter!!!!!!!!!!!! but one thing at a time...

suzy I really like the 3rd one with the stripes on the gears!! Maybe add a small band of stripes at the top to tie it in... but u all are SOOOOOO TALENTED!!!!!!

BTW what program are u using???... corel... adobe..... xara???? something else???? I am amazed how u guys just whipped them out so fast!!!! I must be in a really dry creative slump!

I am willing to pay $30 for the winning logo design for me! In case you are willing:

ARTiFACES.com ("ARTiFACES" is all caps, except for the "i" - also I like the ".com" to be much smaller than the "ARTiFACES")

FACE PAINTING (smaller than "ARTiFACES", please - I want the ARTiFACES to be the main focus!)

I don't know what else I want, I am SO uncreative... I hope you will add your own ideas for the creative aspect of it! To give you an idea of my tastes: I would like the design to *not* be "cutesy" or cartoony and I do not like "girly" fonts like "Curlz". I like bold and striking! And I like the "water reflection" trick that was done one of the designs in this thread!
