Ok... it took longer than 5 mins... but I tend to be a slow painter... I was also trying to design it while I was painting... so I hope its good enough!!

If I was, it didn't make it to the mailroom. (hoping I didn't miss my turn)

I'm at the Boy Scouts camp out today and tomorrow... if my turn comes up this weekend, I'll get it painted Sunday evening.

Great job on the victorian era Skidzz!! And DaVinci would be the Italian Renaissance period....should be quite the challenge!! Looking forward to seeing that!

Thanks CC.... If it weren't for my knee blowing up like a watermelon, I would be working on other things! But as it is I just got home and so I limped to the washer and started a load, and got the ice pack for my knee. Heres hoping it helps quickly!!!! Don't have the time to be sitting and playing on the puter!!

Okay, despite falling down the driveway yesterday, ripping my pants on the knee and scraping my knee raw I managed to paint. I don't even want to post this but here it goes (I am blaming the throbbing on my leg) Btw,This was a really hard challenge.

Aww... Um... I'd love to give it a shot, but now is not a great time for me Maggie... I'm in the middle of a big move to go and start my externship and everything is all packed away... It'd be at least a week before I could really even think about actually sitting down to paint something.

So, at your discretion let me have time to get settled before I paint the challenge or just pass it on to someone else. If you pass it along however, I will still be fair and post my interpretation of it, just for you .

I googled, and found "Miro" the artist... is that the inspiration ?

If so... a great artist!

Miro was a modern interpretive artist...not really an "era" per-se, but definitely had her own style. You'll do great with this one Kat--but when you tag someone, try to fit it into an era, so we can see something different in a free art form--no distinct animal or shape--check out Punky's "Art Nouveau" painting on the other TAG for 5. That's what I was going for on this thread--but everyone's done a fantastic job so far!!

I'm disappointed with myself.
I loved the image that I found, but, the reality of it differs greatly from my imaginings. ugh... if I could only paint what my mind produces!! *L*

anyway.. I stuck to the five minutes.... and it SHOWS... bleh!

I did have to bribe my son with an extra trip to the park and iTouch game so that he would allow me to paint him with more than one color. I used all TAG pearls, as he doesn't like how the regular TAG/DFX feel on his face. I have some Paradise and Snaz on order (per all the great recommendations from ya'll .. thanks!) to use as bases for children.

My inspiration from the lovely maggie was "Joan Miro".
