Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to make temporary business cards to hand out in two weeks.

I say temporary because I don't have a painted face that I want to use or commit to enough to print tons of cards ... this is just to hand out to the guests.
I am volunteering for the Easter party/egg hunt at my Grandmother's care facility. (good practice for me... *s*) There will probably be about 120-200 people there... (from the guest list people have sent in) her "house" has ten residents, and several caregivers who will invite/bring their families.

I see a 'small' opportunity for future jobs from this event... but, even if there were none, I'd do it anyway.. smile I love the residents and staff!

I've visited various websites (a HUGE thanks to everyone here and on the web!!!) and have come up with this... It's not verbatim from anyone (that I know of)... but, I tried to stick closely to the points given...

What do you think?

1. Use a tear-free soap or shampoo and lather the skin.
(this will smear the paint - that's okay)
2. If possible, let sit on skin for a few seconds, then lather and rinse with tepid/warm water.
3. If any paint remains, use a gentle make-up remover,
baby oil, or olive oil on a cotton ball or tissue and apply to skin -
let sit for a few seconds, then remove.

** Attention **
Some colors and brands may cause a slight skin discoloration for a day or so. This shadowing will dissipate with time.

Don't know how I missed this.
Mine says something along the lines of "remove paints with mild soap and warm water. Mild staining may occur with darker colors. If this happens, apply a facial moisturizer, baby oil, or makeup remover to the face. Let it sit for five minutes, and wash again. Feel free to call if you have difficulty removing the paint...."
Hope that it helps!

Hey Kat...this is what I have on mine. I don't print them on my cards though. I just have papers that I hand out. They are really small I have other jargon at the beginning like safe paints blah blah blah...We use paints that are easily removed with soap and water. You may also use make up remover, baby wipes, and cold cream. Darker colors remove easier with make up remover. I have looked and just have it on my sign about the color may stain some skin tones. Then I go into how to remove the tattoos.

If I see a fair complected kid getting ready to be all painted up with metalix green or something I warn them it may have an after effect.

Yay for you! Your work is great Kat. I hope that you do well next weekend!

Thanks, Terina!!
That sounds good.

I'm considering picking up glitter tats later on....

Yeah, I have a strawberry blonde nephew. Unfortunately, I painted him green before I knew how badly it could stain.
He was cute in his green-ness... for TWO days!!! laughing

Thanks again!
I can't wait... the ladies (all in their eighties or higher) are wonderful! Great sense of humors and ALL want to be painted!! (I'm thinking I'll paint something on their hands ... maybe a little sparkle here 'n there)

I have a bottle of the Clinique eye make up remover (the blue stuff).. it works rather well! it came in one of those gift bags...

Take care!
and thank you for your kind words

I do not have removal instructions on my cards (yet, but I'm overdue for new ones) but I do find that there is less shadowing if I wipe off the initial lather with either tissue or a warm cloth before I do the rinse step. Does anyone else do this too?
