Present for the BIRTHDAY kid

Instead of a gift I send a handmade thank you card the parent and a smaller one addressed to the child. In the adult card I put my biz card with a percentage of next booking. I think parties are busy and chaotic for mothers especially so getting a card a week later at a less busy time Will make it less likely for them to forget. I think kids enjoy getting pretty hand done cards with gems and bows and thanking them for letting me be apart of their busy day. At 1.00 a piece I think it's a nice alternative to a gift.

I didn't give the kid a choice. I wrapped the present and so nobody thought it could be for anyone but the birthday kid.

I usually bring a themed balloon creation for the birthday kid, or if it's a fairy party I bring a fairy crown. I made a ton of them a few years back, they cost next to nothing to make, and the birthday girls always love them.
They are just little gestures to make the birthday child feel extra special, and make the parents smile.
