Re: Mehron Metallic Powder
Oh, back to topic:
I'm having trouble getting mine to mix properly. Could be that I don't have proper mixing liquid, but I was told you could use water to mix if you wanted.
So... do you add the powder to the liquid. Or, add the liquid to the powder?
I was going for super shiny like baby oil, but something that might dry. Completely experimental, and I was using a glycerin/water mixture. The first time, it did okay with the gold (eventually). Was abysmal with the silver.

Re: Mehron Metallic Powder
Now we sell the makeup at the store, so of course we want people to buy the mixing liquid, but the boss when she trained us said that the mehron powders did not mix/work very well with water at all. I did not ever try it myself.
Re: Mehron Metallic Powder
Hiya,
I now have gold, copper and silver in the shop. However, I do not sell the mixing liquid since it cannot go USPS. Sorry about that.

Yeah, it sits on top of water... with the paint it does fine.
But, I heard there was an order to things from someone. Any one?

Re: Mehron Metallic Powder
Can you use the micah powder all over a regular face painting to just add shimmer without changing the design (or is under the paint, as a base, better? and does it accept face painting on top of it without smearing them?)... probably obvious to most, but this powder is new to me
Thanks for your help!

Re: Mehron Metallic Powder
Don't use water. It clumps up with water. I mean it can be done it how Mark and I applied it at world body painting festival and I have done it that way many times but unless you have the touch more often than not you are going to have a mess. Mehron Metallic Powders are to be mixed with Mehron Mixing Liquid.
As for the airbrush, sure it "can" run thru the brush but you are taking a risk as the formulation dries rock hard and then cleaning it from your brush will be very difficult.
Metallic Powder is not a mica. Mica can give an pearl or metallic look without metal. Perhaps the better choice for face painting - esp children. Metallic Powder is just as stated.
