Breathtaking! Did I read correctly that you had to fight your husband off when wearing this design? So not only is it breathtaking, it also has sex appeal. This may be a great nightclub face.
It's wonderful, your talent is exceptional.

ROFL Jenny! I'll assume this one was addressed to me, as yes, I did mention fending off the hubby...now...I usually have to fend him off a little bit when I'm trying to concentrate on getting stuff done at night before bedtime...but he did follow me upstairs after dinner 'to watch' and kept making wolf whisltes..haha Got several male responses sent to me on that one, "Sexy, hot, ohh baby"....I was going for a Poinsettia Butterfly/Christmas Fairy look, but hey...maybe there are a bunch of males out there with Christmas Fairy Fantasies....ok ladies, forget Victoria's Secret 'Angels'...get yourself made up to look like a flower fairy for your man this Holiday! haha /wink
I'd love to wear this to a nightclub with lots of black lighting! I just got some orange UV reactive paint, need red and green UV paint and I'd do it again! Also...I just finished up a 2 day Mark Reid workshop and I have visions of Sugar Plum Tigers dancing in my head...I'm in LOVE with Gold Liquid Bling. I'd never gotten a chance to play with it. I will post pictures of the stuff we did and a few of the 'on the spot' designs Mark did with the 'liquid' and then I have about a million new ideas from that class I hope to get made into my own pictures for posting. He is friggin amazing and I would recommend anyone that gets a chance to take a class with him! Just awesome!
Ladies, on the new posts...OMG I love the Jack christmas and the Tropical Christmas. Great ideas/twists! The polar bear with the scarf looks like a Coke advertisement! Great! I'm glad you got some personal time to do some neat stuff!! Sorry if you lost out on a day of money making though, but glad to have seen some of your work!!!
Re: Nov/Dec Challenge Post Your Goodies Here Please

Thank you for the compliments! <3 Gloomy days are perfect for painting yourself multiple times. Now I have to go wash my face cause I curled up with the dogs and took a nap and have a smeared polar bear on my face
Oh by the way not sure how the Tropical Christmas one looks to you but on the tree those are suppose to be red ornaments...my husband says they look like coconuts! Hehe but I guess either way would work...he was saying I should have done the ornaments all different colors IF thats what they are....I bonked him on the head .
aah yes!! Tropical! Thank you, I was looking for the right WORD and I was just blank at the moment I posted it lolHeather wrote:on the new posts...OMG I love the Jack christmas and the Tropical Christmas.

These are all awesome!! Doodles (forgot your actual name, sorry!) I really love the way that your designs frame the face. You have great "flow"! Very appealing. Thanks everyone for sharing. Boy do we have a lot of talent on this forum!

Re: Nov/Dec Challenge Post Your Goodies Here Please
Not as impressive as some of you guys yet, but considering I've only had my paints for a couple of weeks..... here's my holly mask:
Oops, forgot the steps....
sponged on the light green,
put on the dark green holly on top of the eyebrows and at the corners of the eyes,
put in the little swirlys in dark green,
added the red accents,
used silver glitter gel to make it a little shiny.
I don't remember which brushes I used exactly, but they don't have numbers on them anyway.... I usually use a small flat brush and a little liner brush.

I 'got' that they were ornaments right off! Again, nice!! Maybe use green or purple on them to make them 'garish' like most ornaments are hahah! The red color does look more like a coconut, but I saw the 'hooks'.
Re: Nov/Dec Challenge Post Your Goodies Here Please
Hey Perry, wtg! Just keep working on it! Do you have any black yet? A dab of fine black outlining makes a huge difference and will make your design 'pop' even more! I like the red glitter on the berries!
Re: Nov/Dec Challenge Post Your Goodies Here Please
Thanks for the tip... I have tons of black, I'll add it to the mask the next time. I have my first face painting gig on Wednesday and we'll see if there are any requests for it.
Re: Nov/Dec Challenge Post Your Goodies Here Please
Great mask, Perry! And hey, good luck on your first job! Be sure and let us know how it goes.
Day of the Dead Skull
The day of the dead is a holiday celebrated in the Mexican Culture. It takes place on November 1st and 2nd. It is believed that on this day the spiris of our loved ones are allowed to visit the earth. Fireworks and marigold petals lead the spirits to their former homes. They are received with a offering table on which only the best foods are placed. This day is not meant to be a sad day, but a joyous celebration in which it helps people not to be afraid of death. Toys are made for the kids poking fun at death and sugar skull are traditionally given as gifts.
I hope I did the holiday justice with the above description but just to make sure here is a link to the description by wikipedia

Now for my second entry.
I used both snazaroo and wolfe, sponges, #3 brush, #4 brush, #6 brush, liner brush.
First I used snazaroo white and sponged all over the face except for the eyes. Then with snazaroo light blues I sponged the forehead, cheek bones, above and below lip, and chin to add depth.
Sponged snazarroo black on eyes and used #6 to define eye area using black. Using the #6 with snazaroo black I made to s shapes by the mouth.
Thn I used the #4 brush with wolfe red, white and green to make the roses and leaces. Then the #4 with yellow and pink snazarro to make two flowers.
Then the #3 with wolfe to make red and green teardrops.
Then the #3 with snazarroo light blue to make lines above and under ips.
Then a #4 wolfe black for nose and black teardrops.
Finally a liner brush with wolke black to outline and detail.
it took me about an hour (but I did have a 3 year old who for some reason today kept thinking her mommy was a jungle gym.)

Very unique idea! I was watching a movie with "Fez" in it from That Seventies Show and the this theme was in it. I had no idea about this tradition and find it facinating!
Re: Nov/Dec Challenge Post Your Goodies Here Please
The roses on that sugar skull face are lovely!

Re: Nov/Dec Challenge Post Your Goodies Here Please
I've never heard of this tradition either and I'm wondering what is meant by "sugar skull"? Just curious.
Re: Nov/Dec Challenge Post Your Goodies Here Please
A sugar skull is a candy skull. It is sugar molded into the shape of a skull and then decorated kinda like a cake would be. Sometimes you can have the name of the person you are giving it to written on the forehead.
Re: Nov/Dec Challenge Post Your Goodies Here Please
Ok, here's my "snow princess"
You guys are so awesome, I'm sure you don't really need a step by step from me, but here's the short version.... Sponged Light blue around the eyes, used white with a small liner brush to make the snow flakes and the crown, outlined with the darker blue for more definition, added blue glitter gel (I was going to use silver glitter but my daughter said she wanted blue).

I saw this a few months ago! I figured no body else had ever seen/heard of it. haha...very unique.
"The Dead One" from the comic book series, El Muerto. Wilmer Valderrama does 'The Crow'. That's it in a nutshell. He did a really good job. Almost a 'chick flick' for that type of movie. It was entertaining.
But the best part of the movie was Billy Drago as the 'Old Indian Woman' in the beginning of the movie and then in the Catholic Church...I was like OMG..he's cracking me up!
I love how his 'Sugar Skull' became 'permanent'. Not super detailed...but looked really 'realistic' in the movie.
Looks like they used Wolfe and let it get all melty until all his pores showed! hehe. It was actually probalby liquid latex. It looked waterproof in 'rain' scenes and had a slightly rubbery look.
Re: Nov/Dec Challenge Post Your Goodies Here Please
Ahhh, what a cute princess! I like blue glitter! The silver can take on a 'gray' cast for photos..so the blue is definitely nice and adds a nice 'cool' tone to it!
