Roll-on glitter

My granddaughter came home with some Twinkle roll-on glitter that my daughter got her at a trade show. I am not too sure that it is cosmetic grade, although I am assured it is. It's very pretty and easy to apply, but it's been discontinued. Does anyone make a good roll-on glitter now? I mean in a clear gel, not just some shimmer eye shadow with glitter in it. I am concerned, anyway, that wet roll-on glitter might have some smearing effect, especially if the face paint you are going over is wet. Just think, you could simultaneously get paint in your glitter while making a holy mess of your paint job. What fun!

you could use it just outside a design. i add a bit of glitter in places around a design or the in between spaces, kind of like extra "lighting".

I used to make my own years back but did not really end up using it - yea does not roll over face paint as well as one wants....gave it away to most my models....make it pretty much the same as glitter gel you pipe out of squeeze bottles.

You're better off getting a shimmer lotion and putting that down as a base before you start painting. I always have my line manager hand it out in line after asking where they want the design to go. I found that whatever didn't get painted looks really nice with a shimmery background. Also it smells so good!

can you explain more about this shimmer lotion?

I know that bath and body and victoria secret were the two biggest names for shimmer lotion, but at the drug store they should have some. Some brands have more noticable glitter then others, and most use mica powder. I don't know the brand I use, but it's a berry splash scent Burt's Bees is safe for face.

I haven't tried but maybe it might be worth looking into shimmer perfume sprays?? Like just for arms or legs and such.

Mainly for teens to be sparkly like a vampire *coughHotTopic* If you ever find that Twilight edward roll on glitter that one for sure makes you SPARKLE.
