I want to start face painting at more than just friend's parties. I am looking into doing booths at craft and street fairs. What kind of licenses do I need?

Thank you!!

I don't know about FL licensing, but in CA to be a fair or market vendor, you need minimum $1m in liability insurance naming the event as an additional insured. Many also require past event references, and some require proof of your business being registered with the city. If you sell tangible items (not just service-based) you would also need a seller's permit. Andd, of course, each venue generally charges a booth fee (flat fee or percentage of sales, or both). You should be able to ask a local county or state fair what their vendor requirements are, or check their vendor application on their website. Good luck!

Start at your Secretary of State and they should give you all the!info you need for working in your state, then you may also be required to register with the city you're business is being ran out of, lots of homework and also have to decide if you want to be a sole proprietor or a LLC. Then purchase insurance under your business.
