Where do you all get your practice heads from?
Are there any out there that Wolfe paint washes off of? I can't seem to find any Rolling Eyes
What kind do you use?
I really need one, but don't know what kind to get! Thanks in advance Very Happy

I use Snazaroo's Freeta and proform heads, shown in halloween photos section ; ) Freeta is tall with lots of body area front & back to practice on. Will post the necklace part of Freeta this weekend. There are also lots of heads on ebay, too.

On many sites that sell the heads, there is a warning that wolfe paint may not come off at all, so Snaz is the only paint I use on mine ; )

If you MUST buy one... get them here MUCH cheaper. They are exactly the same as the ones that SF sells.

I saw quite a few on ebay but not sure how the paint would go on them. I just spent just over $100. for my three FP heads, used but in great condition.

Practice Heads Empty alcohol

Practice Heads P1030413
My practice heads, Snaz Freeta & 2 ProForms (so far;) I scrubbed the paint, but it still had shadow colors on the heads and alcohol worked great to get color residue off ; )
Detailed photos of these heads are on the haloween photos page.

Shannon,
I am interesting in ordering the salon display head - I asked them and they said it wasnt good for make up, even tho I explained I'm a face painter. Do you think it would work well as a practice head? Its so similar to he menron head.

The Wimex heads were the ones Silly Farm was selling... they ALSO sell the other brands at SF... The one than Silly Farm has that has the replaceable faces is the SAME as the Wimex one.

It came up on another forum about the substantial difference in prices once and I'm positive they were the same item.

The Wimex ones are sold FOR MAKE-UP PRACTISE They are called "Make-Up Mannequins" ... I think the person you talked to didn't know what they were talking about.... or was it ANOTHER head you were looking to order from them???

Shannon - so glad I saw your post on the $16.50 practice heads. I was looking at the ones for $60 & really did not want to pay that much! Just ordered the one you suggested, I can hardly wait...I'm tired of practicing on my leg!!

Teri - no, if I had to do it again, I wouldn't order it. I bought the practice head, then I just last week ordered the practice pad from Silly Farm & that stained too. When I called Silly Farm about it, they said to use Snaz paints since it's more water soluable (I use Diamond FX which is wax based). They said to go to Home Depot and buy goo gone to get the FX off and then to just use light colors to practice with. I was very disappointed. I feel these kinds of instructions (what to use & not) should be included with the purchase or in the instructions on the post. I'm going back to practicing on my thigh. Good thing I've got lots to work with Very Happy

Nothing like real skin, but if it cleaned u, I think it would be great to practice on. My girlfriend said to try the Magic Eraser from Mr Clean, but I haven't gone to the store yet to try that. I'll let you know when I do in the next day or two.

I have a practice head & a practice pad, both are stained & I very rarely use them. I've concluded, if it's for practice, who cares if it's stained. This said, they don't feel like skin. I just use my inner arm or my thigh.

I was able to get bad stains out of a practice head with a bit of shaving foam left on for 5 minutes. I've used it before on talent on a film (gentlemen don't seem to have an issue with shaving foam as a remover) for "blood" that had stained someone extremely and they had somewhere else to be.
