i got the foam from the forum i had to trim the corners off to fit in these cases. and when im done painting I put a sheet of paper on top of the paints then stack the paint on top of the paper...then close the case...i open the paints back up when I get home clean them and let them dry before putting them back in my case

So your saying the close fine with paints in the foams on both sides but only without lids? That's not bad, they don't look like the ones from the container store that Vegas Mom suggested. Where are yours from? My dream case would allow for me to line both sides with paints and foam but still keep all the lids on as well...I just don't like leaving them open.

these cases i use are from sterilite and I don't think they make them any more...i can get paint on both sides with the lids on. i just choose to leave them off...when my paints dry i close the case with construction paper on the top...i will get some pictures so you can see...

Sorry the pics are sideways, but you get the idea... I open and unload one into the others top. without the foam insert you can put a bunch more paints. you also can stack the 30 grams on top like I mentioned towards the center since it is a thinner plastic and has my leeway... I hope this helps...

I just got mine recently and have only used it for 3 gigs, but I love it! I'm still trying to get the hang of where to put what, and don't have a great shot of it yet. But here is one from the latest Christmas gig I did. I set the tray on the lower front part to hold my business cards, tip jar, etc...stuff that I want customers to touch. Above that I set a cute, colorful tray I got in the Target One Spot and set my mirror-slash-design board on top. (this one just has cheek art around the mirror. I got the mirror frame at a garage sale) That also serves to block view of some of my supplies and rinse water for the customers. I set my paints on a tray on my lap while painting and use the inside of the lid for towels, StarBlends, liquid bling, gems and adhesive. The ribs in the lid are great to create little divided sections for those small things. Then inside the top part is where I set my Brush Tub (rinse water), my glitters, hand mirror, etc. The trays and mirror/board all fit in the base with my other bulkier stuff.

So far I am loving it. The only downside is hauling it up and down my spiral staircase, and fitting it in my little VW Beetle!

No reason that wouldn't work - I took a "C" clamp and two of those adjustable plumbing connectors that is a ring that you tighten close with a screw and I use them with tent poles (you can fasten just a couple of the shock cord ones together with elastic if you pull it tight, tie the knot, then pull it out again to cut it shorter) to hold signs or if I'm using the old round metal tube ones (or copper pipe) a light.  I have so many pieces of various types of tents around (Mom was a group camp leader for years) that I just find whatever works for what I need (I have a tent pole that is two right angles that I use with my black stand shelves to make a top bar to put fabric over).  When Mom and Dad and I do a trade show (another life besides painting events), we have the whole setup assembled with these clamps, poles, and even elastics (to join shock cord tent poles at right angles to the stronger "light" poles that are fastened to the table).  Hardware stores are very useful - I spend more time in mine than I do in makeup stores.....[/quote]

I am like yeaRs later. but I was wondering if you have a picture of it? I still have yet to find a easy way to set up my board
