the brightest colors ?
Hi !
I'm a beginner at face painting, I have just a question about all the brands which exist. Which one have the brightest colors ? I don't ask for the best, the most simple to use but I just love when a painting is done with very bright colors, not really if it's flat or pastel.
I have only snazaroo, some colors are bright, bright red for example but others like blue or grass green are really soft on the skin.
I had a look at many threads here and after one day of reading all opinions I have shopped black and white by diamond fx (because it's sooo hard to do curls with black snazaroo and the white is not enough white) and neon rainbow cake (also dfx).
So what do you think ? which brand do the most colorful colors ?
thx ! =D

Re: the brightest colors ?
I think everyone has their own preference and tastes. I like lots of different brands /colors for different reasons. TAG, DFX, Wolfe, Jest, FAB, I use Snazaroo only for the red. The above mentioned brands all offer beautiful, vivid colors.
And for black and white line work; I definitely prefer Wolfe.

Re: the brightest colors ?
thanks for your answer ! lots of brands, I don't know FAB but I know others, just the name, I have only used snazaroo which has not so vivid colors in my opinion.
I will see with dfx black and white, I don't really know how to choose good colors because it can be expensive just to try them, one by one.
I think I will continue a bit with snazaroo and see little by little for other brands. It's maybe the only way to do lol.
In Swenden, Kryolan is the easiest to reach, face painting is not so usual. But I don't know if kryolan is a good brand for face painting so it can be hard ^^
I have looked for the white wolfe but didn't find it that's why I took dfx ^^

Re: the brightest colors ?
The easiest way to "try" colors is to invest in an "appetizer" or other small palette. You can try six or twelve different colors that way (and try the brand as well) then get a professional size of whatever color you love and use. I have a DFX metallic palette, Wolfe mini appetizer, Wolfe neons, and Wolfe Skinz palette. I started out with Snaz as well.

Re: the brightest colors ?
What a great idea !! I didn't think about that ! you must be right, that's a good way to do, just to try and don't waste so much money.
Thx again I'm going to have a look at those palettes right now ! =D
When you say that you have wolfe palettes, do you mean that you use them to face painting ? I mean I have two snazaroo palettes (and big ones also), the white is almost over, but I just used it three times ! so that doesn't really last unfortunately.
Have you got these colors also with big size ?

Re: the brightest colors ?
I have lots of paints now from all different companies...TAG, FAB, Wolfe, DFX, Jestpaint, Tulip, Kryolan, Paradise. Some that I bought full size I didn't care for. The palettes are a good way to get a big variety without spending a fortune on something you don't like. Would not use palettes as my only paints...cheaper to buy the full size ones that you know work for you.

Re: the brightest colors ?
I started off with a couple of the Paradise palettes and then as I used colors I replaced them. I LOVE paradise for bases and the majority of my painting. It feels really nice on the skin, not stiff or heavy like DFX can.
I'm branching out into a bunch of TAG pearls, which I've heard awesome things about.
Anyway, checking out the sampler palettes ia great way to try different colors and see if you like the brand
