Re: Today's Project
I didn't post on the last one because I just didn't have the words. Not being able to afford a airbrush setup yet I haven't got the chance to body paint but it's all good though you might want to retouch the little clump of arm hair on the flames. Now because the way we learn is asking questions how did you decide on your color scheme? Most of the colors are a sunrise to sunset pregretion but the white as the base on the face surprised me. Awesome design.

Re: Today's Project
Strange, I replied but must not have hit Post... Try again.
I wish I could tell you some great spiritual or philisophical method I used to pick the paint colors... I had a basic concept for the paint, and colors. I knew I wanted to do the zipper idea of showing the inner creative spirit. I knew I wanted the face to be only partially painted, and to be somewhat mask-like. I knew I wanted to incorporate tribal-esque line work. BUT so many things changed about this paint.
The model was terriffic, but had not trimmed his arms and didn't want to due to a gig. The flames evolved from that as (as you saw) the paint was just so super goopey in his arm hair. Also it was supposed to be a full body design but he only wanted to do half- so a lot os changed were made on the fly and it was very "doodled" as a result.
90% of this was hand painted though. Very little air brush really. Some. Glad you like.
