Gold and bright lime green?
I know this has probably been addressed elsewhere but... what is the best metalic gold and bright lime green?
I just wasted money on two Kryolan colors that I really dislike. Gold and Bronze. The bronze looks awesome in the pot but really dull on the skin. The gold doesn't even look that great in the pot. I seriously doubt I will ever use them. I have used Wolfe gold but wanted something with more golden sheen. I'm leaning toward the Interferenze Gold.
I'm up in the air about the bright lime green. I saw it on a face done by another painter. It might have even been a UV color and wasn't a deep green... very limey. The Wolfe UV green is too dark. The one I have in mind is much lighter. Gorgeous color.
Save me from wasting more money. I already have enough mistakes to fill a kit.

Re: Gold and bright lime green?
Sorry I can't help personally, but it seems like the resounding vote at this forum has been for Interferenz BRONZE. Apparently it makes a better gold than the actual gold!
Re: Gold and bright lime green?
I just recently bought some of the DX gold. I haven't used it a lot yet, but so far so good.
INfer bronze does rock, but it isn't goldy gold, if that makes sense.

Re: Gold and bright lime green?
This is confusing to me because I have an Interferenze palette and the bronze looks bronze to me. Shiny and pretty, YES! But not gold. Am I missing something?

Agree Kristal. We posted about the same time and I didn't read your post until mine was done.

Here is a leopard I did with the Infer. Bronze. Pretty simple (and I'm sure I could improve on it).
Re: Gold and bright lime green?
Very cute! Looks like it has good coverage. I haven't used my palette because it's hard to get a good spongefull in those little pots and coverage is an issue with some of the colors.

Re: Gold and bright lime green?
I don't use Paradise, but they did have a lime green that I tried when it first came out. Is this more the colour you are thinking of? The one on the lids (blended into yellow on top and wild orchid on the bottom)
This was the last time I used Paradise (gave the palette that I bought away...) as it ITCHED and the other person I painted at the same time got welts in the shape of the brushstrokes of Paradise!

I have the Paradise lime green and I like it but that is not what I'm trying for. The one I want is as light as the Paradise but pops like neon.

Re: Gold and bright lime green?
Are you thinking of maybe a neon green? If so I really like DFX neon green. Shannon, I agree with you bout the paradise. I have been trying the black and i hate it. It's all smooshy and yucky, doesn't come off nicely and i find it smears really easy. I know lots of people like it, but i don't. I still prefer wolf black, (snaz black for the lil peeps)

Re: Gold and bright lime green?
Have you tried the light green from DFX? Love that colour! But I would not define it as lime..
I normally use it with the dark green, as here: http://www.facepaintforum.com/gallery/Personal-album-of-LoneWolf/Spring-pic_913.htm

I would also vote for the Interenz gold =)

Re: Gold and bright lime green?
I like the Snaz Lime and the Wolf Light Green and Wolf Neon Green- all excellent colors.
Sometimes we get hung up on the *perfect* shade, when really we have what we need and we just need to fiddle.
Maybe try a swipe through your normal lime green and then a swipe through your neon green on the same sponge befre applying.
Best of Luck!

Re: Gold and bright lime green?
The little alien guy is pretty close to the shade. It should pop like a neon. Lonewolf's green is awesome but a darker green than what I want. Verdict?

Re: Gold and bright lime green?
One awesome green is too split light green and neon green from DFX. When the split cake mixes it is an awesome green that really pops. I learned this from the Wolfe Brothers.
Re: Gold and bright lime green?
The alien is Wolfe UV Green applied on top of a Kryolan green. It's a mix as suggested above!! Generally, you can mix up what you have handy...
I try not to get hung up on particular colours ... except for Bach Blue of course

Re: Gold and bright lime green?
My green dilema has been solved. I finally got in touch with the owner of the coveted color. It is Kryolan UV lime green. go figure. I am definitely going to use the suggestions above to use up the greens I am not so happy with.
I ordered today along with the Interferenze Gold. (and bronze!)

Re: Gold and bright lime green?
No problem!
I'm glad I haven't seen Bach Blue. I would probably covet that one too.
