Pictures for websites and promotional material
Do you have a release for parents to sign to have permission to use their child's photo? Do you only use family and friend'sphotos? I haven't taken many pictures because I'm not sure the logistics of it but I'd like to get some good promotional pics soon as my goal for 2012 is mega promotion.

You technically need a release to use someone's picture for promotional/commercial use. It has nothing to do with them being a minor since you could take a picture of a child as long as you're using the photo for editorial purposes.
