Fun photo shoot using Ben Nye & TAG pearls
We've been talking about it for awhile...Emma got her photo teacher to allow us to use his studio and got a couple of friends to be models (and the photo teacher's wife!) and we took some good photos.
Most of the green were overexposed because Emma forgot the overhead light...but I love this one because she was so serious while I was painting her but her pictures showed the transformative power of paint...she loved being painted and was a different girl afterwards. I used Ben Nye powders on her eye makeup and then made swirls from TAG pearl green and lime green.
I LOVE the peacock feathers! We took inspiration from a makeup photo. I used TAG pearl blue with Ben Nye powder over the top and it has such a cool color and texture. I used gold and purple in her makeup to pick up the colors from the feathers and then pink gems to match her lip paint. She actually helped me choose the blue gem for the middle and it looks really good. Really simple design but really pretty.
I used Ben Nye powders on the purple mask and then outlined with pearl pink & purple stripes from one of my one-stroke cakes to outline with a 1/2" brush. I used a gem that was a soft gold so I used gold liquid bling to add a little sparkle. She was surprised I went so big but you could tell she was having a lot of fun.

Love the peacock mask the color is gorgeous and i love how you painted the nose too - makes it really birdlike!

Thanks for noticing pinkundies (love the name) because in the original it was straight across and I didn't think it was very flattering so I wanted to add shape to it.

Love the masks, Denise and I agree with Pinkundies: the way you painted the nose on the peacock design makes it awesome!

Pretty! I love the peacock picture! So simple yet elegant!

Beautiful work Denise. I love, love simple elegant designs. (I'm certainly not yet good enought to do elaborate stuff!) Examples like yours give us newbies hope that we can put out some quality work without it taking hours. BTW hope you don't mind if I borrow the basic ideas. I'm already wondering what that mask would look like without the feathers but edged with a peacock split cake, etc. THANK YOU ALL for the way you inspire me!

The Ben Nye powder over the top gave it a lot of pop in the pictures. It's still beautiful, but something about the powder gave it that super blue, especially on camera.
