Re: New Photo Shoot
Thanks guys! I was really excited about it. I've started collaborating with this photographer and it has completely changed the quality of the finished product. He is amazing!
Angie, the entire base was done with a brush. Just a useful side note, my absolute favorite brushes for bodies are from Walmart. That whole base was painted with a 2" flat brush. I have a paradise body brush, but the 2" from Walmart works a lot faster. I had to do a little bit of streak removal after the full coverage, but it was minimal when considering how fast it made coverage. I bought it for $7 and a pack of two 1 1/2 inch brushes for $7 as well. They are now my go to tools for body work. I tried a kabuki brush last year and hated it so these have just worked better for me.
The painting took forever to do because I had to paint the white detail first and then edge around it with the black to keep a really nice solid white appearance. It was a pain in the you know what, but I think the finished product made it completely worth it.
This was my first time actually painting the full body (front and back) and I was pleasantly surprised that it took right around 4 1/2 hours. I was prepared for a much longer time commitment.
All together, it was a really awesome experience for me and I can't wait to do it again!
