just picked up a terrific mirror at Costco.

It is a natrual daylight 8x magnification lighted vanity mirror. You can see things on your face with this sucker that you would rather not see, but I think I can paint myself without taking the glasses off and on. Not all that expensive either!

Happy painting!

I have one of those.

Without my glasses it helps me to see a much larger blurry reflection! My eyes are BAD. I got it for the rare times I use makeup and it didn't help much, I still managed to jab myself in the eye with the mascara wand. But, maybe I'll try it again for face painting... as long as I don't do anything to close to my eyes. Shocked

I'm considering getting contacts, just so I can paint myself. Now THAT'S addicted.

I've got a three way lighted make-up mirror... used to use it to do my clown make-up but yeah, it helps a huge amount as I can't see as well as I used to!

My arms have gotten shorter... really!

I avoid mirrors... bleh... I don't paint myself because I am the lucky bearer of hives.... I know, I know.. I'll do anything to get out of looking at myself... *L*

Good to have though!
Thanks for the heads up!

I only have that old age presbiopia thing going on, so contacts won't help me, but this mirror sure does! I can see every stinking little defect! More reason to slap on some paint! I have been frustrated with my practice head, it is just not skin like enough, and I can't see myself worth a darn, so when I saw this in Costco, I had to have it. Now, if you will excuse me, I have an appointment with my tweezers. Holy facial hair batman! I am not sure if it was better to not see what I was missing or not!

Brow hairs as crazy as two face...wow.

On the upside, Costco had some killer cream chese danish...where else can you get a mirror with the power to light up every hair this side of the Mississippi, hearing aides, and ketchup for 400 hot dogs in one afternoon?

OMFG...I have never seen so many people walking out with enought toilet paper for a small country. I can do the laudry detergent, but I just can't do the toilet paper.

I had never been to Costco before. Sam's many years ago, but my husband wanted some salt and peper pistachios, and Costco is the only supplier. 350 bucks later...he is eating pistchios and I am still working with my tweezers.

If my husband eats anymore pistachios, we may need a lot more! It really takes so little to entertain us!

Ooohh, Martha! Welcome to the dark side! Costco is addicting! It's my favorite store. In fact I'm going there tomorrow and I can't wait, I'm already making my shopping list. Little bit of advice, go for the executive membership, I got a $231 check last year because I bought pretty much everything there...and I share my membership with my mom and dad, so anything they buy goes towards my rewards too. And if you don't make enough to make up for the extra $50 for the membership they refund the difference to you Wink.

Hmmmmm...we talked the the guy about that. He did not try to upsell the exceutive membership. Thinking about a new big screen, so it might be worth it! (and those hearing aids....)

I'm just the opposite... I can't see close up with my glasses on anymore. I have to take them off to face paint & to read, but need them to see far away.

They sold us the Executive Membership... and they refunded the difference too as it was not a good deal for us. We only go there maybe 4-6 times a year... for T.P. (and yes, I get a cart full when I go, but not enough to make the Exec membership worthwhile.)

If they made the carts bigger I would just fill it. Is that possible? That was the biggest cart I have ever seen, it felt like sitting in one of those HUGE rocking chairs that make you look so small...

The cabots white cheddar chesse is to die for. I think that is what I will have for breakfast, with my 3 lb box of wheat thins.

Not a hair left on my face though.

I get to Sam's a few times a year we don't have Cosco's down here. I don't have to worry about filling a big basket because I have to use a electric cart. Fill it up too much and you can't stear.

We buy most of our groceries there, all electronics, small and large appliances...clothes, toiletries, our Christmas tree, christmas presents...just about anything they sell we buy there. They have an awesome return policy, a friend of mine once returned a Dyson she had for 4 years, a plastic piece snapped off of the side of it, they just said no prob, looked up her receipt and gave her a $500 Costco cash card, she turned around and bought another one which was priced $400 on sale, and had $100 left. I had a problem with our Wii 8 months after Santa bought it, called Nintendo and they troubleshot that it was dead and said I had to mail it in and we'd get a refurb in 2-3 months, took it back to Costco and got a new one instantly.

No Costco here either. Love Sam's though. I have one of those magic mirrors too. Since my cataract surgery, I don't have to wear glasses to see most things EXCEPT to read or for fine details, then I wear cheap readers that I decorate with rhinestones, glitter, feathers, etc, to wear when I'm face painting. The kids love it when I put on my fancy spectacles and I act surprised at who is sitting there!

I understand about the 'WILD' hairs, you'd think after being pulled for the umpteenth time, they wouldn't grow back!

Love, love, love Costco! Will have to go tomorrow and see if they have the mirror. I had been looking at one on Amazon because I am blind and it is a pain trying to paint myself without glasses.

Do most of our shopping there now, they have the best meat dept. And my kids love their cinnamon rolls, so good.
We started with a regular membership and decided after one trip we would be better off with the Executive.

How sad is this? My husband and I go there without the kids and call it a date.......trying samples throughout the store is like having appetizers. So sad.

*LOL*
Show me a woman who says she has no chin/neck/cheek hairs and I'll show you a woman who doesn't own a magnifying mirror. My sister who is "only 24" said as I was plucking my hairs from my chinny chin chin..."I'm so lucky, I don't have that problem", so I says to her "oh no you didn't! Come here and let me check!". It was a sad day for my sister to realize she's not perfect Wink.
