My Very First Belly

I was so excited to do a belly. I had 2 different ladies lined up and they both had their babies before we could get together which REALLY pushed me into overdrive to get my last one before she has the baby due Dec. 5th!!!! I got to paint her this past Sunday. I've been painting since May this year.

very nice simple design! How did you find your ladies? Is it worth it to advertise?

My first belly paint was a stranger that I accosted in the supermarket.. I noticed that she had tattoos so I thought she would be open to the idea...then I offered another free one on facebook..and what do ya know I got my first paid belly coming up because of word of mouth. I would really like to be skilled at this art myself,, so I have sent 10 postcards to all the midwives in my area,,about 15 of them, I await to see the results. I also recently did some radio advertising,,only because I am an impatient person by nature and want to get cracking..word of mouth is very very effective though,,especially if you bring great service to all that hire you.
