omg that is the only clown face I have ever liked, it is SO cute! (no offense to our FP friends who are also clowns, they're just not for me).

Ok so I copied and pasted the list into excel (i'm such a nerd, lol) and added some more to it. Then like an idiot went ahead and alphebetized it before I posted the new selections here... and can't seem to pick out the ones that aren't already listed. So I am going to go ahead and post the whole list. All 101 of them, compiled collectively by our lovely members here. I gotta say, I LOVE this list. The cool thing is some of them count as two, because there is a cheek art version and a mask version. So technically there are way more than 101

im so glad everyone likes my thread. i was just feeling overwhelmed i would see a design and then another and another then i was forgetting about the first one. so now i have my list and my folders and i can add the insperation pic to each one! woooop

Excellent idea! I actually used to have that offer on my website, but didn't have my "act" together to deliver, so I took it off. Thank you for reminding me of that option!! I'm going to re-focus on getting that organized.

Oh and I had to add one to my copy of the list, but I don't expect anyone else to because it's pretty obscure, but you can if you want.

Lemons

When I was at the fair, the lemonade vendor asked for lemons!

Awww thanks. I liked them. That was my first gig, I remember. Good times.

The lemons are really great, Melody! I added various produce to my list too, because I do the farmer's market in my community. Plus I'm a vegetarian and a gardener, so it's one of my passions to make veggies as appealing as possible to folks. hehe This evening the president of the market asked to take a picture of me to print in the farmer's market newsletter. The vendors were so tickled that I had a big red beet on my forehead surrounded by fall colored oak leaves, carrots, and greens. Guess they felt supported by that? I dunno, but hey - FREE MARKETING! goes out to the whole county! YAY!

Gorjessfaces, I think your idea of an inspiration folder is fantastic and I have been thinking of something similar but in a more public interactive form.
This forum is a great source of ideas an inspiration but finding the designs is tricky and the main purpose is for comunication between artists not as a design resource. Maybe I'm wrong.

My idea is to organise a database of designs & step by steps submitted by willing artists accessible to all. Designs would be searchable and new ones could be submitted by anyone and accessed from your computer or mobile device.

If this already exists, ignore me, (better still give me the URL). You tube has things but not all in one place.
This is where my ideas finish as I'm not a techie, just a user. Flickr may be a good way to do this as you can organise photos into albums and add comments such as instructions. Video is not there but I think you may be able to embedd a link to a video.

Maybe some kind of wiki for face painting would be better. My main thought though is that it should be free so we don't want to pay hosting fees. A such a combination of Flickr and you tube may be a good solution as they host data for free!

I think it would be a great melting pot of ideas and instant resource for all.
I'm not in any way suggesting an alternative to, or being critical of this forum as I love it and have been inspired by the designs i have seen here, but rather suggesting an extra resource created by artists for artists. A DIY cheat book if you like.

hmmm i wonder if an online excel spreadsheet with hyperlinks could work- we would need a index tab that links to a specific tab which would contain hyperlinks for each subject....

sounds like a good idea would be nice to have everything in the same place although when im after insperation i just typewhat im looking for in the search bar on the forum.

oh gosh you guys are making me blush hahah. to glow would be from the crap lighting coming from the bathroom heat light haha, but yes extremely excited about my new job!

the split cake is a custome made one mde up of TAG Pearl Gold, TAG Pearl Wine, TAG Peal Rose & TAG Pearl Blush. its stunning!!
