oh once again a menu board question
Hi everyone, I have looked on the mb for any info but so far have not found what I am looking for. I am trying to make a more permanent menu board. I have foam core and I want to put a simple frame around it so the ends will not get beat up. then I have Velcro to stretch across so I can switch out photos. I want to do 6 lines to get 30 photos at max on but I will have the room if I need less photos. My problem is what to use as a photo holder where I can put a piece of Velcro on the back of the holder but switch out the photo in the holder if needed. I really dont want to laminate all my pictures as I get them. I also want to do that to my temp airbrush tattoo board. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried many products, even Walmart had photo sleeves, problem is the photos can fall out. Long term laminating has been my best friend for a clean and neat display that can be changed. The best move I made was to go to a sign shop and get the plastic board used for yard signs. Needs no frame and boy does it hold up. I have used mine for a full year and it looks like new. Much more durable than foam core board and water resistant since it is made to be out in the weather. Luckily they had it in black so my photos look grand.
I found using velcro dots looks nicer than a full strip across the board. Good luck, I think permanent and menu board are two words that don't go together, at least not in my world. I'll try to post a photo this week, my stand is quite different and light weight.

You can get small laminators and pouches for reasonable prices now, I've had mine for at least 10 years and it still works great.
I personally prefer to get 80% off banners from vistaprint. They roll up nicely and last long enough before I want to change things out.

I was wanting to do the velcro because I face paint at the books fairs at work and I only offer 9 designs, but want to use the same board at other events where I would need more pictures.
