Who's going to the FP Convention in CT in Jan 2012?

I really would love to go! I wish this would not be in the middle of the week, though. I think they would get a better response.

The convention runs5 days so having it just over the weekend just wouldn't work... I've always been a stout supporter of the 5 day weekend myself though. While doubtless, there would be a greater response to the weekend long schedule, i think the convention itself would suffer since there would still only be 24 hours in a day and between sleeping and meal times, there would be little time for learning. Then when you consider the sizes of the classes...well, actually, the class sizes would be smaller if you were able to have 7 or 8 classes going at a time, but the hotel doesn't have that kind of space, so the classes...what few of them there would be, would be huge and cumbersome.

As with all conventions, you're welcome to trickle in during the weekend and the cost of the convention is so low ($150 now...$130 early bird) that you would still get your money's worth if you only came Friday thru Sunday.

And cue the snow..... It just started snowing in NJ. Having flashbacks of last year going to this convention! LoL

Where I LOVED seeing snow like that for the first time....Diana & I are driving it from NC, and I don't want to see snow like that again this year!

Can I get an AMEN??? I'm a novice at travelling (flying) alone, and I'm pretty sure I would freak!

So far it's looking like the snow will hit CT on Thursday, but not a lot...not airport cancellation worthy...and it will be 40 degrees the next day, so I'm hopeful. I swear if I get held up in another airport for snow...I'm going to make the news...in a big way! 5 days... I just need to leave now since I'm useless here at this point.
