Re: East Coast Convention in Jan 2012
I've taken a class with the Wolfe Bros. It was GREAT! I learned a ton about the facial bone structure & shading, my skulls are WAY better than they used to be.
I'm leaning towards taking Jay Bautista's class on Tribals. I heard the FABA TV class with him was awesome.
I'm trying to decide which Pre-convention classes to take myself. And there are some awesome choices of classes given at night too with Kristi Darby, Kerry Ann Smith, Pashur, Alison Kenyon, & Roberta Mandella......decisions ....decisions!

I'm going but haven't decided on which pay classes I want to take yet. I know I need to get signed up but there has been so much else going on that it's been low on my list of things to think about.
Re: East Coast Convention in Jan 2012
I regret not taking Alison's class last year. The designs she did were amazing! I took a regular class with Roberta and she was wonderful. So informative and talented.

Kristi's gore class was awesome! She is a hoot. I'm not missing her classes this year! I learned so much, and we were laughing the entire time. Can you imagine laughing while you create a 3rd degree burn on your arm?

I just booked my room, they said it was the last one I've never been to a convention and this is sooo out of my comfort zone as I won't know anyone, but I'm really hoping to have a good time and learn a lot! Hope to see you there!

Nope, You will get the schedule of classes when you register the day you get there. If you want to register for the extra classes at night it is best to do that now while there is still space. They get filled up by the time the convention starts.
I usually try to get one or two of those classes in during the convention. The instructors work one on one white you, and they are smaller than the classes during the day.

No worries AiryFairy, by the time you leave, you'll know tons. The key (in my best opinion) is to refuse to be a wallflower and put yourself out there. Some like to hang with the people they came with or with people they know and others flit around from group to group. I'm a flitter with comfort zone issues, so I never go too far...unless it's to go get food or to paint in private. You'll have a blast ... just jump in and have fun!
BTW...if you take Michelle Heffner's class during the day, you'll get to watch me sit on Linda as we vie for a seat, lol.

Re: East Coast Convention in Jan 2012
I would love to go but unfortunately flights are so darn expensive. So unless someone close to me is going and planning on driving there or I can manage to arrange something with Sean, I will have to pass this one. The line-up of instructors looks great though. I'd hate to miss out on it.
Re: East Coast Convention in Jan 2012
Yeah, flights are crazy-expensive right now.....what the heck is up with that?
The line-up is awesome this year, and the number or attendees is kept low so classes aren't slammed full of people.

Does anyone know of any conventions that take place in Toronto? *puppy eyes*
Re: East Coast Convention in Jan 2012
I don't know about any convention, but I know that there will be another Wolfe brothers workshop in Febuary.
