Higher priced faces for girls
I would like to use a tiered menu and I know that some of you here do that. I'm having difficulty coming up with the more extreme faces for girls. Any suggestions?

Re: Higher priced faces for girls
Ugh, I typed all this stuff and MS explorer crashed!
So here goes again!
I actually have a harder time coming up with boy stuff, that is varied and not the same ol same ol stuff you see all the time!
If you are not already using glitter and or a glitter gel to do a bit of 'gilding of the lily' as they say, it's a great way to upgrade a girl design to a more expensive one. Adding floral touches to butterfly designs, extra swirls and curls can extend a design and make it look even more special. Not just adding glitter (the super fine kind) to just the design, but also adding it to the entire face and or eyelids and cheeks to bring it all together...adding in a hint of blush, doing the lips...
Mark Reid gave us the following example in a class I took back in December of 2008....for the same design at say, $3.00, then $5.00 and finally $8.00. (We had full permission to take these pictures during class and use them...I did not paint these, Mark did them as a demo!)
Hope this helps! I will be utilizing this design eventually into my display board...I just need a few good pictures of my own model!
Basic Butterfly - $3.00
Basic Butterfly with Florals - $5.00
Butterfly with Gold 'Glitter gel' Gilding - $8.00

Thanks for sharing these pictures, Heather.
Over here we usually have a flat rate for ppf but I'm wondering should there be some sort of price structure for more complex. Depends on the reception from the paying public, I guess. Must investigate......

Re: Higher priced faces for girls
I figured this was an easier way to portray ideas for 'upgrading' of designs if you are using a tiered cost display board...
...otherwise it's very subjective as to what one would consider an 'upscale' design, by what they feel comfortable painting in the typical 5 minutes, give or take, by whatever time constrictions your particular 'event' has!
Now, if Cassandra has some pics to post as to what she usually does, and what things she likes to paint...I could probably get a few more ideas up.
The other thing is, we all have links to a gallery here and/or our own websites. I would suggest browsing them and just making notes on the ones that you like and would charge more for!!

Re: Higher priced faces for girls
I posted some recent pictures of girls in my gallery. They are new faces I am toying with. I was thinking about making the split cake princess (pictured) and rainbow cake butterfly and tigers (not pictured) higher priced.
I will definitely try the butterfly with flowers.
