Very Interesting for australian's
Hey all,
We all know how much research goes into our business.. a lot. tones of time looking for insperation, advise, set up options, price comparing, and products... so i thought i would share a little secret.. latley i have been trying to find the BEST supplier.. who sells the product for the best price. after all we are all trying to get the most of our money.. this might shock some as it did me. ok so we live in australia, thinking if the product comes from australia we can get it cheaper right? the cheapest postage right?? WRONG! haha after going through all the online stores, and doing a price comparing chart, guess who was the cheapest?? and that was including postage....
METINA'S!!! Facepaint Forum Shop
go figure hey! haha bloody aussies

Hmmm - while I looooove love Metina .....
You checked out ALL the online stores? - I just don't think this is possible.
I have been buying from suppliers here and overseas for two years and thought I knew them all - but there are new ones popping up all the time... and according to how much you need and how fast you need it I use diferent ones for different reasons.
I have one supplier which I will not post here that I get 3 times the amount of product for the same money as I do from an Australian Supplier and they are in the US.
So if I need something asap before this weekend I call Robyn at Always wicked art and get it overnighted to me... If I have time I will order form the other supplier....
The difference being for example - A paradise prisma pallet is $250 here plus postage.... I got mine for $98 - I bought a whole heap of other stuff and postage and it was under the $250 I would have paid for just the pallet.
If you want to know if this supplier was on your check list PM me and I'll give you the name.
That said when I was searching for the prisma pallet Metina didn't sell the pallet I don't know if she does now.... that's why I didn't get it from her.
If you were only comparing Aussie online suppliers against Metina - then I get it and retract my point entirely. Metina beats them out by price everytime........ yes Aussies like to rip each other off apparently.
Did I mention I love love love Metina? lol

Have been searching for suppliers too. Tash, can you PM me the details? I bought a stack at IMATS in Sydney the other week, but you can never have too much :-)

Re: Very Interesting for australian's
hmmmm interesting point tash, could you also pm me too, im very keen. and yeh i was comparing aussie online stores to metina's only not other us suppliers, i just think its beyond the joke that its such a price difference between australia and us! even our beloved TAG is more expensive for australian's
Re: Very Interesting for australian's
I like the american supplyer I belive you are talking about But if it is the one I am thinking of they don't sell TAG. I spoke to them a while ago about it and the have no intention of selling TAG. as it competes with one of there products (that was in May I think.)
But for paradise I get it. Aussie supplyers are the most expensive. although if I am in a pinch I do use them as they are the most expensive they seem to have wolfe white long after it sells out everywhere ( due to price I think.)
Having said that Metina has a pile of TAG one strokes you can't get anywhere else. Had I not bought a whole set before joining this forum. I would have got them of her, as hers are much nicer. I have only the standard ones. I found the trick is to make a big order to cover postage cost when you do it and buy lots all at once.
My next order will be from Metina for the one strokes I have looked over the net in a few countrys, UK and America and Have found that she has the most TAG custom one strokes of anywhere other sites may have a couple but also charge $18 for there customs and no swipe sample, which with Metina, I get here through the forum. Even the aussie sites don't have the amount of custom one strokes she dose.
In my expierience I may be alone here I have also expierienced other than one supplyier. the worst possible postage from the aussie sellers it takes about 7 days for it to arrive vs the Americans at average 9 days. somtimes longer somtimes shorter. But I find it a bit silly given the fact that 2 of those suppliers are within a 20km radius of me. and not to mention some of the postage costs are a bit stupid for local supplyer as well.
I feel if you love TAG Metinas shop is the best,is unique and most affordable I've seen.
But a while back Many threads Ago Tash said that Australia is probebly the most expensive country to face paint in she is right on the ball there don't matter what brand you use be prepared to pay. either in postage from overseas or the Australian suppliers uping the price on each cake from between 3 to 7 dollars depending on size, and on brushes, glitter and well everything.
However, I do have a strong TAG personal bias, which I hope stays as it would cost me a fortune to change, at this point.
and like Tash I spend about 3 times more overseas than I do in Australia and It is still works out cheaper. and don't even get me started on the cost of Balloons over here. $20 for 100??? plus postage. If you find a cheep balloon place in aus PM me.
