- FAT MAX IS THE BOMB-DIGITY. I have a background in tech theater and actually keep my stage make up in a small tool kit. A step up to the fat max was no problem. I LURVE IT.
-Wolf white is your friend. Yes, yes it is.
-Never deny the power of one stroke face painting.
-Personal lessons from Suzy Sparkles are AMAZING.
-I'm a sitter. I got my chairs at ikea. I have an 18 inch for me and a 25 inch for the kiddo. If I'm painting an adult we switch chairs. Paid 35 for the tall chair, 18 for the small. They also have a 32 inch in the same style as my 25 inch. I'm contemplating that one too. You know, in case I want to stand. Very Happy
-PVC is your friend. I should have known that. I have crafting supplies made from pvc.
-I have cricut with the SCAL software (I got it while it was still being supported.) I can make glitter tats. Custom glitter tats. I can also make a vinyl decal for my fat max. And my chairs. Ooo, and why not my car while I'm at it?
-BRING ON HALLOWEEN. I <3 Halloween.
I should snap a few picts. I got my car decal on today and I am so excited. And I've been playing with the wingless fairy glitter tattoos (paint on wings) and and next up want to try paint on dragon wings.
I'm off to go practice. Suzy Sparkles says so. Laughing

Is just a regular circut work, or does it have to be an Expressions or Silhouette?

The current version of SCAL does not works with the cricut. You would have had to have bought the software before like march this year.

I too want to know more about the cricut. Can you find clipart online and have the machine cut it out for you?

The cricut thread is here (so you can get the info on what is/isn't supported now):
http://www.facepaintforum.com/t3113-cricut-and-glitter-tattoos

It was also life changing for me finding it on the forum - I cut clip art yes, but also dingbat fonts, or things I've scanned and modified - or even just drawn from scratch - if I dream it I can make a stencil of it - in any size I want. I have a serious stencil addiction so this saved me so much money. THANK YOU!

What else have I learned....
One stroke - baby cakes especially for me - and making my own - never would have considered quite the same without the forum.
The general skill level here - I've always painted with proper face paints (not acrylic paints), but I thought I was doing good if I had 3 colours - and I didn't realize the value of black outlines and white highlights and dots.... huge difference....
Dippy pot - oh how you changed my kit and painting with that one Metina - I can't go back to being without it.... I stop in the middle of painting to restock it if it runs low....
Glitter - I avoided glitter when face painting before, but the whole "hides a multitude of errors" idea appeals greatly....
Powders! I always brought face paint to regular makeup, but never really considered bringing regular makeup to face paint - so easy and fast to do too....

So so so much more - every time I turn around there is something that improves something I'm doing - some really old threads helped me a *lot* - like one talking about turning a stroller into a portable face painting system - and so I went and turned my walker (it has 4 wheels, a seat, front basket and assorted bags that hang to hold things) into a portable face painting system (for a park/parade) - wow - never would have thought of it without the forum - thank you all!
