Contact Lenses?

I'd really like to get a few crazy contacts for pictures. Do any of you use them and if so where do you get them? I just want to make sure they are safe.

I don't wear glasses or contacts, if that makes a difference

you can get fun contacts through your eye dr. no prescription needed. plus they show you hwo to properly use them, take them out and store/clean them.

You can get some awesome ones that enlarge your eyes and add special effects from www.honeycolor.com. They are VERY poplar in Japan and I have several pairs in many different colors. Lots of women wear them everyday to enhance their eyes but there are also some wild designs on there that don't cost an arm and a leg. Almost every pair ( 2 lens, 1 for each eye ) are under $30.

Go to an Optician or Eye Dr. it is worth every penny & they have all the same selections available to order for you. My husband is an Optician & is horrified by contact lenses sold w/ out a proper fitting etc. You truly can ruin your eyes permanantly by a lense that fits incorrectly.Esp ones made in mass production in China etc.

the contact lens company calls my eye dr. and gets my prescription from them. If you buy from a company where the lens are KFDA certified, which Honey Color is, I would imagine those would fine? I don't understand why would my eye dr. let me order these using my prescription if it was unsafe? I've had two different dr.'s give my prescription to these Korean companies. Should I call and ask if they realize who they are giving my prescription too? I'd much rather get these lens from my dr. here but I've never seen a selection similar to what I've found online, nothing close. I've heard some bad things about the knock off Korean lens but I've never had a problem with my lens and I've been wearing them for years - although I don't wear them regularly like some girls do and never more than 8 hours.

Yeah if you have a prescription you are fine. They are fitted to your eye..no problem. It's when people buy them 'off the rack" or whatever w/o a prescription they can do damage to your eye.
