My neighbor has finally stopped work and has agreed to let me paint her belly. IT'S MY FIRST Exclamation The big day is tomorrow. If all goes well I may paint her more than once. Do you have a favourite postion for the Mum to be in when painting

I start the design off my having her stand & planning out the design w/ white paint(just draw the idea of the design). This way when she sits I won't end up w/ a deformed design once she stands again.
I usually have her sit on my directors chair, but make sure to give the mom frequent brakes.

Linda's comment on standing forthe outline is essential unless mom is a super tight 19 year old. LOL I've had a few round design become ovals.

I use the zero gravity fold out chair for painting bellies. My moms love it and only need an occasional break to pee. I even had one go into full labour that wanted to stay and finish the painting because the chair was more comfortable than anything she had at home! She was 9 cm by the time she arrived at the hospital!

Wish I would've had one of those chairs...sounds heavenly!

I would say standing, but having something to steady against--like a counter or chair

The zero gravity chairs are often on sale right now with all the end of summer sales...

That's a good chair! I think I will keep my eyes out. I put my momma in my big ol' lazy boy. She was comfy, but I was battling leather armrests!

I have a cheap recliner that folds up to an ottoman. Got it at Canadian Tire. It is in my studio and I use it for bellies, the mom can recline, it doesn't have bulky arms nor is it terribly high, so I can sit on a normal chair and reach comfortably.

I sit on a super cheap office chair that has the back removed. It looks kinda like a mechanics rolling seat. I keep it in it's lowest position and I can manoeuvre around really great.
