First Wedding Event
Hello everyone!
I'm so excited to share that we, A♦n♦A Creationz have been booked for our first wedding. The bride shared that they will have about 15 kids...I informed her that we could paint all the children in less than one hour, but we have been booked for 3 hours
Wondering if any of you could share some wedding designs/ideas. The bride also shared that she would like her wedding party done up before we leave as well. Still waiting to hear back from her as I asked if she has a wedding theme, wedding colors & if she would like the wedding party done up the same or similar.
Any suggestions and insperations would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in Advance!

Re: First Wedding Event
Kids will always ALWAYS want the usual. There really isn't a "wedding theme" for face painting.
The wedding party? They want face paint? I'd probably do bling or white henna style patterns.

Thanks Shannon!
I also asked if it will be formal or more of a laid back setting. She mentioned that she liked our over the eyes animal masks...I thought we would do zebra, chetah, or tiger designs in the wedding colors for the wedding party...with of course some bling!
As far as the kids we would just to the normal things that kids request..
Should be interesting =)

Re: First Wedding Event
I painted a wedding and as the kids were being done, all the young women lined up and came back for more than one design ("Could you do my back and shoulders, too??). Glitter tattoos were a big hit with the young adults, too.
Re: First Wedding Event
I did a "bling" wedding for a doctor's family about a month ago. There were over 800 people in attendance, and I was there for about five hours. It was crazy! Rather than attach them all here, you can view them on my facebook page - they are in the "Bling Wedding" folder. You *should* be able to view it here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.176583075746876.44705.100001855557369&type=1
but I am not sure if you can view it before sending a friend request. If not, you can go to facebook.com/facepaintingomaha
Have fun and enjoy the party!

Re: First Wedding Event
Very cool job! Will you be painting the wedding party before the wedding or painting for the reception? I've painted for a reception before. I was hired to face paint the kids, my one daughter balloon twisted & my other daughter ran crafts & was the childcare for the event. It worked great & we've done several events for the reception hall since(I love spin off business)!
I have the bling Kim is used in her pics. You can buy a big bag of it for about $15 at Michael's. I use glitter tattoo glue to stick it on.

Re: First Wedding Event
Ooooh, that's beautiful! Must be a lot of pressure to paint the bride!! I've only done one wedding but it was really fun. Such a great idea and very thoughtful for the bride to consider entertaining the kids so the grown-ups can have fun!
I mostly did the usual but had some wedding designs on my board and a few girls picked them... wedding cake, a pair of rings linked together, a pair of white doves with a heart like love birds, champagne glass... they were all cheek art. I'll see if I can dig up some images!
I like the animal mask idea. You could even do white animals to kinda match a wedding white, like a snow leopard, white tiger, zebra, bunny, etc, and use the wedding color for accent colors? Have fun!!

Re: First Wedding Event
I think htere is pressure for painting a bride when you start out, but it is my business to paint/henna brides so no problem!!
Re: First Wedding Event
Mehndi Masala That is absolutely beautiful!!
Another idea is to do design in the color of the wedding party but sticking to your usual designs.

Re: First Wedding Event
We will be @ the reception and the Bride said that she would like us to do them up at the end of our time there.
@ Gretchen...that's what I was thinking....zebra with the stripes done in the wedding accent color...
I'll be sure to post pics after the event! Thank you to everyone for all of your help and feed back

Re: First Wedding Event
Kim - that's gorgeous!! I love your work!
Ana - I buy most of my bling at Michael's. We also have Hobby Lobby and Mangelson's here, where I tend to get some here and there when it goes on sale. But the majority is from Michael's. I only get them when it's on sale, or when I have a coupon, so it's not quite as pricey. They can be around $5 per sheet (each sheet may have 3-6 "sets" on it). I like the bling that comes in bigger sets as opposed to a single gem as it takes much less time to apply and it covers more area. I charge a lot more for my bling parties to cover the extra expense. I always apply my bling with body adhesive - even if they are already self-adhesive, especially if you're applying it after the paint because they never stay otherwise. Most of the time for birthday parties they sweat them off, or they "play" with them so I always tell them to remember: no touching, and it probably will fall off before the party, but their face will still look fabulous. I try to minimize the tears, and if they expect it to happen, it's not as big of a deal when/if it does.
Thanks for the compliments, y'all! =)
