I wanted to use my cake and wasn't getting any requests so I painted one on my arm. The body took me three times. I tried putting in profile and it wasn't working so I did a rear view...I liked it...now I need a paying arm/neck/back/leg/etc.

Very pretty! I may have to order one of these. My favorite practice head keeps begging me to do peacocks.

I like the rear view, profile wouldn't let you see the pretty feathers, which are gorgeous, btw!

I googled it and saw these I liked, the first two are artists I dont recognize (sorry if its a friend!) but the third is dear Shannons. I love her mask, the cake would make it quick.

Denise, I really like your design! Great angle to paint it from and I love your bird's head. I may give that a try some time if you don't mind.

Tara, I'm pretty sure that second one is Vi from Sparkling Faces.

I've been playing with the "elegant feather" TAG one stroke I got from Metina, but I cannot get my feathers to work out right. I really can't quite get the hang of the one stroke thing... I just can't load the brush right, it's always either too wet and makes the cake soupy, or not wet enough and I can't get enough colour to load on.

It's making me crazy!!

My daughter actually did all of the feather strokes and I did the body and finished up. All she did was a 1/4 turn of the brush making sure the blue was at the top to get the eye. I had her start with the bottom one and then pyramid the eyes until it was thick enough and then taper back to one.

I'm actually thinking of getting an elegant feather cake because I like the brighter green, but I need to start using up this one. I think I'll make a mask similar to Shannon's for my next gig but maybe use the bronze in the center of the mask...thanks Tara and I love the puppy on your avatar...so cute!

I made my own peacock cake but Metina has two great ones in the Forum shop that are very similar. I like that her's have the brighter greens in them. Elegant Feather is one of them, I know.
