Best marketing day Ever!

So this weekend is Tax Free (back to school deals) in our area. So my younger son (4) and I decided to hit the stores and buy up for the year. I knew it was going to be crazy busy and we had about 4 locations to go to so we decided to get painted for the day. I let my son pick the colors and we did a matching design (although he wanted pink I made him choose something else!). It was a huge hit, I gave out about 60 business cards, got interest in teaching some classes, some corporate gigs, restaurant gigs and much interest in parties. I don't have anything left to buy but I might go out again on Sunday! I basically approached anyone who smiled or made eye contact and it was great. Some people stopped to talk, others just said thanks. It worked really well if my son gave other kids a card. Matching seemed to help a lot too, and perhaps the design/colors. I watched a Marvelous Masks monster mask last night and this is what I remembered from it, my first time doing this design. About 4 minutes and looked great in person! I think I did it with my Pocohantis split cake (TAG).

This is almost our last stop, it was a LONG day - still looks good for Florida heat and humidity - it was HOT!!!!

I've made a couple of calls today - though, I'm still waiting on results of surgery... to have/have not another... blech.. it has really cut into my face painting!

When I'm mobile, I'm going to hit any and every thing I can! grin.

Perhaps you can convice everyone at the doctor's offices - they know a lot of people!

Since I have to give everyone (dr's and nurses) a flash of my back and backside during the exam, it'd be SO cool to have someone paint something on my back before my next visit!

Inca, bribe him, that is what I do - I think this painting got him lunch and a roll of gum tape and a day alone with Mommy - kid knows how to work it!

I don't think even bribes would work with my son. Super cute design and boy you have Lorrin, I am considering this form of marketing

I have to bribe mine anymore, too. But my son doesn't let me paint his face. He has sensory issues, and his facial tic goes absolutely bonkers when we try. I always paint his arm.
Great idea on the marketing! I have tried that several times here, without effect. :-(
