Please help....I'm feeling really challenged
Hey everyone.
I have rush job come in for a SPRING BOK,,2 days notice... now have you seen a picture of a spring bok,,their ears are just about longer than their faces,,their horns are gigantic and I have been asked to paint a females face, neck and arms..she will be wearing a t shirt and I have to fluff around with her hair. ( I was thinking of teasing and messing the hair up and adding a few leaves or I could put wire in her hair and make super huge horns,,unless she has short hair)hmmmm What if she has no forehead??? argh ..stop thinking so much.
I practiced on my hubby tonight but did'nt think to take a photo for you guys to have a look. Any how because his hair is receding he has a decent amount of forehead..I shortened the ears and put baby horns on. I was pleased with some of it.(although he looked more like Mr Tumnus off Lion,Witch and the wardrobe),the eyes, ears, horns, colour and stripy bits,,but how do I make a face look narrow from the front and still carry on like a body painting down the neck.. I could make it look really cute as a mask but I am stumped with adding the neck..
I guess it is in the shading..Boy talk about a challenge, what have I got myself in for.
I will try again on dear hubby tommorrow and post the 2nd try.,, I am really nervous because I am working for a big company and I want to do a good job.
If ANYONE has some great advice,,or anything ,,,I would be very grateful..Thanks

Re: Please help....I'm feeling really challenged
without trying it myself, my first instinct would be to put the nose where her mouth is and the mouth on her chin... paint out her jaw bones with black or something? and if you could get her hair to do the horns that would be REALLY cool.
Re: Please help....I'm feeling really challenged
That's very challenging!, but I am agree with perry, you can use her hair as the horns using hair spray and aluminium foil inside, then you can longuer the eyes as they have a shade that conect them to the nose and use shading to narrow the face from the cheeks that will make it look longer too, in that way and with hair horns maybe you can aboid the ears, thats my idea I hope it helps!!!

I have no clue how to draw it on a face but I wonder if this pic may be helpful

Definately put the nose aroufd the lips and paint a mouth on the lover chin. Use black to narrow and shape the face so that it comes in really close to the eyes making the face look longer. I would try to shape the ears from her hair and fashion some horns from some paper mache.

The link that Shannon posted has something similar the first column 4 rows up from the bottom. just make the ears a little more tapered.
I love the idea of using the hair as the horns even filling it with the aluminum foil.
