Who was doing the mustache special?

I remember reading it in a post and it was a great idea. Looking for permission to use that idea. $1 mustaches are great for the families that already spent most of their money and can't really afford to buy a face painting. Don't want to use your idea without asking though

I don't offer it as a special and still get people who want it- either on the finger or on the face.
In fact, the wedding I was face painting at on Sat night had several girls get them on their faces.
Soooo funny.

I get the request frequently. I found a download off Bing images that has Mario in dozens of differnet Mustaches. I keep that for reference, so that I can suggest them when someone mentions it, having the name of one on hand, with a pic, is a good way to sell it. I charge a dollar, but don't have it on my board.

Haven't heard of that as a "special" but I've done them before too! Fun! I've also done gotee's (sp?) and even curly chest hair! Great idea to print out a "menu" of styles. My mom likes to offer "specials" where she'll do just a super simple one-color heart, star, or peace sign.

Oooh...do a Google IMAGE search for "mustache styles" and you'll get lots of great "charts!" :-)

I was painting a pirate the other day and as I was painting the mustache,
I thought..." wisp brush." The rake-like brush was perfect. The lines were
different lengths, just like a real mustache. I then used it on his eyebrows too.
So happy that I got my set of wisp brushes. There are many uses for them!

I love my rakes for it too, Wina. They also are perfect for little goatees and such. I painted "Musketeers" this past weekend with the 'staches and goatees.

Wisp brushes are fun, I have a few in my acrylic paint set, but didn't want to use brushes that had been used for other paint for face painting. I have a ton of flats, I should snip some up and make me some new wisps.
