Re: Happy Canada Day!
Hurrah!! I'm lamenting the fact that my costume tomorrow is purple and blue and pink...why oh why didn't I A) have time to make a red and white one? and/or B) why didn't my client agree to me dressing in red and white streetclothes?!
Happy Canada Day!

Re: Happy Canada Day!
nah, not fond of coffee crisp, tho that certainly can't be found here. I get Dare RealFruit gummy candy sent to me the Strawberry Foam Power Pigs are the best!
Re: Happy Canada Day!
Strawberry Foam Power Pigs? This I gotta google! Happy Canada Day all you northerners!
Re: Happy Canada Day!
I found them! I love that I can learn new things from everyone! I loved Toronto when I visited and lake country! Beautiful country you have!!!
Canadians have some different tastes in candies.... they look like fruit gummies just in the piggy shape!

Have you tried those sour wine gummies? Doesn't sound yummy to me, but I am intrigued. The coffee crisp looks just like our kit kats here stateside.
What else do you do to celebrate Canada Day? Curious. We are prepping up to find our big fireworks display.... can't decide if the beach or closer to home will be best.
Cheers!

No no no... Kit Kat is nothing like a Coffee Crisp! We have Kit Kats too.
Wine gums are... well, different. Tangy, occasionally refreshing...
When I was in elementary school soap candies were all the rage (actually called "floral gums") - only a 10 year old could find eating soap flavoured candy cool.

Soap candies?
I have a Canadian friend who sent me some "real" chocolates once. I can't remember the name, but they were like our M&M's except the actual chocolate content was much higher. They were delish, but I like our "diluted" chocolate better.

That sounds like Smarties! My husband is liking Canadian candy and chocolate better. We are such food snobs : /
I really liked the wine gums, I think I remember that soap candy, or some gum that was kind of soapy too.... I didn't go for that.
Funny thing about the juice pigs they used to have warnings, watch out for pig butts! and occasionally a candy would have a tail instead of a snout

Yep, Smarties! And ROFL about the pig butts! I love a candy with a good sense of humor!
