Fairy Belly!
Got a new one - the first one I've been able to do while NOT being pregnant myself, lol.
[img][/img]
Fun mama, she loved bright colors and glitter. Girl after my own heart.
I hate to say it, but I'm not loving my new Paradise. They blend a little TOO much and I can't get any kind of layering with them without it going muddy. Guess it's time to start playing with Wolfe or DFX. *sigh* (Not that I don't love an excuse to buy paint but the $$$$. Augh.)
I have a big maternity consignment sale coming up in September that I'll be doing PPB. Anybody have experience with this kind of event yet?

It's so sweet. The innocence of a baby shines through this design. I love it.

Re: Fairy Belly!
By PPB im assuming you mean pay per belly? I have done these types of events before & i recommend going a bit of a different route.. I use the venue to advertise my work rather than trying to grab peoples attention at the beginning of the event & try to get them to sit down & then actually pay for the work.
At the last event i was at which was a HUGE kids/baby clothing & toy swap meet, I called my local lady I deal with whom sends me moms who are on assistance that cant pay for something like this themselves. I book 2 or 3 in for the day. I pay for my table.. At the front! Important! (by the time they are walking around the back they are tired & dont look as closely!lol)
Then I just paint away all day & hand out a TON of cards to all of the pregnant moms looking on! Then you also dont have to worry about the theme of the belly because generally if you are doing a freebie, you have the final say as to the theme. I take lots of photos of each one i do & email the moms the photos so they have a nice keepsake as a thank you for attending the event at my request. Another idea also is to have a draw at your table & tell all pregnant moms to fill out a ballot for a free tummy paint.. then you have a nice big list of pregnant moms to advertise to!! hehe

Re: Fairy Belly!
Barefoot - thank you for those tips! That is a good point. The ladies coming in are going to be intent on grabbing the big items quickly and probably are not going to even notice me unless I have a few moms there to be attention-getters. I think they are getting a masseuse there to do prenatal massage - maybe I can get set up next to her and have a captive audience of the ladies getting a massage.
Helena - this one took about 2.5 hours, which is long for me, but this mama was chatty. And I spilled my water on her carpet halfway through, so there was some cleanup time involved! I do not recommend setting one's brush water on the floor by one's feet!
