Painting at the Titanic Museum tomorrow.....

I had to get some quick designs together, all based on the Titanic, using the promotional material from the museum only. I am not thrilled with them, but I have only had 1 time to paint them. Not much practice and they had to be pretty simple. Anyway... here they are. Be gentle.

Not the happiest theme to work with, but I have seen this exhibit twice.

Think about the memoriabilia-pocket watches, china, clothes from the time period, ice bergs, crows nests.

But at the end of the day, kids won't want this stuff most likely. Butterflies, spiderman and tiger will most likely be top of the list.

I agree Metina, totally. Unfortunately, there were very strict guidelines I had to follow. I WISH I could have taken my own designs, but they only wanted the things from their promotional material. I am going to paint a blue heart necklace on myself when I go, but my hand was tied here. I do wish I had more play time to get my designs better, but my models were a little less than enthusiastic about being painted! lol

I think the designs are cute, especially for tied hands. Everyone will love them.

I also went to one in Cincinnati prob 10 years agi. You were given a name when you went in and checked at the end to see if you survived. Out of my whole group only 1 survived, bc we were all staff. It was sad and eye opening.

What kind of guidelines did they give you?
