Made my Website, can u take a look?
I did it myself using the 'drag and drop site builder' on fatcow.com
Please let me know what you think? Feedback on pictures, and face paint welcome as well.

Re: Made my Website, can u take a look?
I'm thinking about removing the 'gallery' tab, since I have the pictures on the home page as a slideshow anyway, and you can click the thumnails there to see a certain one if you want to. I will be adding a 'crafts' tab eventually. I'm hoping/trying to use the 'recommended links' as a way to barter with other companies etc, I put their link on my site, if they list mine on theirs. Any tips on free adverstising websites or other ways to get the word out to get the money rolling in (gotta buy more stuff, but gotta make some money first!!) I guess obviously that is what we are all trying to do. I'm trying to balance taking some cheap gigs for now to get the practice and exposure, but still trying to make up for and cover the materials costs, especially getting started. I feel like for having only been at it a few months, that things are going pretty good, and I know with experience I will get better, faster and busier and eventually can raise my rates.

Thanks, it was super easy to build the site, and make updates. I recommend it if anyone is interested in setting up a website but cant afford to hire someone, but doesnt have a lot of computer savvy experience. The graphic at the top was one of their prefab basic designs, then u just add elements as you go. with my 'rainbow' company name, I wanted something colorful...found a rainbow face, and thought well that will do it!!

Quick off topic question, how does the 'title' or whatever you call it under our avatar work? (For instance, 'new member', 'contemporary', 'genius', etc...
) Is it something that just changes automatically as we spend more time posting, or by length of time we have been a member or what? Is there a chart somewhere? Just curious!

Hi your header image is great , good work I would say. I also like your contact form. I have been thinking of adding one to mine.

your member status changes by how many posts you have. 1-25 is new member, and so on... so keep posting comments to move on up.

I love the header graphic as well! Very cool and it really fits with your name and face painting!! My only concern is that if it is a stock image, there isn't anything stopping anyone else from also using it. And, you want your header / logo to represent you and your business. If there were a way to just tweak that image to make it your own, then it could be YOUR logo! I like that you have a gallery plus images on the front page. You need those great example shots on the front to catch people's interest. I'd put your best few on the home page, and use the gallery to store more images for people who want to see more. Great stuff!! Only little thing I'd change is take "Recommended" off of your links link. Since the links are on your site, it's already a given that you are recommending them, and it just makes it simpler and quicker for people to read. My two cents! But awesome job...looking at your site you'd never know you were new to face painting. So, don't sell yourself short or discount your work...you're good and deserve to be paid well! :-)
