Paypal questions Empty Paypal questions

Post by Manabanana Tue Jul 26, 2011 2:48 pm

I have been contacted by several of my clients about using Paypal as a way to pay for my services. I find it a little overwhelming when I go to the website to check it out. scratch

Can anyone explain what fees they charge and how easy it is to use.

any information about Paypal would be awesome. Thanks! (I use it to pay for things on a regular basis, but never to receive funds)

Thanks again! flower

I'm not sure what the exact percentage is but for my $25 deposits I get $23.97! Evil or Very Mad I like Paypal even more now that you don't have to have an account to make payments. Anyone with a CC can now make their payments using Paypal. I also like their invoice features for my corporate clients that pay in full up front.

taken from the paypal canada site (don't know if it's different for the US)

With PayPal there are no extra costs like setup charges, monthly fees, downgrade penalties, or cancellation charges.

YOUR MONTHLY SALES YOUR FEE PER TRANSACTION EXAMPLES

$0 to $3,000 2.9% + $0.30 $3.20 fee on a $100 sale
$3,000.01+ to $12,000 2.5% + $0.30* $2.80 fee on a $100 sale
$12,000.01+ to $125,000 2.2% + $0.30* $2.50 fee on a $100 sale
$125,000.01 1.9% + $0.30* $2.20 fee on a $100 sale

I like it, there are several people who have used it to pay my deposits and it is perfect for my Chicken-o-grams because it is a simple $50 upfront from someone who may not even be at the event. The iphone app for pay pal is spectacular! ... even better than the website as far as I'm concerned.
