New Avatar and some pics to share

Hi Everyone, I changed my avatar also just wanted to share some pics, I have been practicing lots- but wouldn't mind some tips if there is something I can improve on!

I agree with Nancy - nice colors!

Also - love the butterfly and the details on the lips...keep it up!

One is my daughter (the one pictured twice) and My niece and the neighbor boy. Lucky for me, there is no shortage of kids to paint! I only have two of my own- but they run in packs

figured I'd post this here instead of starting another new thread, I also just changed my avatar. It's my spin on a design I saw done by our very own Lynnie. Lynnie I loved that design and the fact it can be done in so many pretty pastel combinations.

The split cake took some getting used to, I was so worried about smuding the colors together! Its a TAG, for me it works best with a course sponge and not very much water, also instead of "dragging" it accross the face, it worked best if I "blotted" several times.- hope that make sense!

yes it does make sense!! a lot actually!! i have been making mine really wet and dragging them! Im gonna try the dry blotting as soon as i can! oooo fantastic! I just never thought about it. thanks for sharing that tidbit!

Having so many threads about the same thing can be daunting so I just figured better here than starting another one
