Possible restaurant gig Empty Possible restaurant gig

Post by MelodyFPL Sun Jul 24, 2011 11:17 am

Called a chain pizza place that just opened a new location in my town and asked what days they have childrens entertainment. They said they didn't but were looking into it. I offered my schpeel and they seemed VERY interested. I am meeting with them today at 4. Any tips on sealing this deal? What kind of discount do you offer to restaurants? Do you have a special contract for restaurant gigs? I don't have any brochures, I was planning on just bringing some photos, a business card, and my daughter (painted of course). Help me out, friends!

I brought a photo portfolio, my daughter in full face paint, business cards, an agreement, and a paper...i guess you can call it a flyer... stating why I would be ideal for his Kid's Night. I kinda lucked out in that they were actively seeking a kid's entertainer as it was, so really I was just in the right place at the right time.

lol that's some old pizza by now. But it still an interesting thing to bring up. I've tried and failed at approaching restaurants. Sad They all look at me like I'm nuts, as it not really something one see's in Vancouver.

Would love to tap this market to fill in some weekdays for sure.

Maybe we should make a new post about it? Get some fresh comments?

What was your proposal? I wanted to pitch restaurants buy I don't know what to say or how to price it.
