Tulip Brand for glitter?
Im starting out on the whole glitter bit, and wanted to try out poofy brushes with glitter dust. I found some TULIP brand glitter in with the Tulip Glitter Tattoo kits (are these good for small parties?) and wondered what the difference was? about $5 for 2 colors. they also have body glue and tattoo stencils available, they look like the ones online but I wanted to ask the general fp crowd.
They are rounded cut and shiny. I read somewhere not to get craft glitter, as they are square in cut and can hurt. Me being a newbie- does it really matter?
I have the Glitter 3d gel right now and a brush on silver body glitter paint.

you can probably use the Tulip glitter if you want.. but I would just stick with your glitter gel until you can order some makeup glitter. you can also get makeup/body glitter at Claire's and Sephora.. and other places with makeup.. like ULTA.
Re: Tulip Brand for glitter?
I bought a tulip glitter tattoi kit... wasnt impressed with the glue or the glitter... stencils on the otherhand were good. Where is a good place to buy a larger bottle of each colour of glitter as well as the cosmetic glue? I think buying bulk and having a bottle would be better then messing around with brushes getting sticky etc. Any tips for getting supplies anywhere on the net you can buy these things??

That's really funny Jenn, we had the opposite experience.
The stencils were absolute crap for us. They had floating pieces that didn't lay right and they ripped very easily.
The glitter was definitely not high quality and I'd never use it again.
We didn't have any issues with the glue though.
The overall consensus (as the Tulip brand is in a few threads) is that while convenient the Tulip stuff is pretty crappy and should be avoided.

no floating pieces... really cool designs in the add on packs. Seem like duct tape silver tape that is reusable and quite sticky. I bought the neon set and one add on stencil set. But the glitter didnt sparkle much and the glue turned a little grey on my leg I guess where the glitter didnt hot. Also it came in a lipgloss container with a foam brush that I wasnt too impressed with. I would think a poofer bottle with vibrant colours would be better then a brush with puts of fine glitter that lacks luster. I dont think I will buy the glue or the glitter again but the stencils I loved mind you I only gave 4 of them a shot but I dont see any floater pieces you guys are talking about. Different product possibly in canada? I bought the set at michaels for $29.99 and extra stencils for $8.99 I believe the extra glitter pots are two for $8.99 and the extra ones seemed to be darker colours just not too sure if they have enough sparkle for my tastes. If it is a glitter tattoo... it better well damn glitter lots..lol!
Any websites selling better quality products that you know of? Glimmer Body art any good?

I love Faketoos for tats and Signature Glitter for bulk glitter in large poof bottles. Glimmer makes good stencils (much better than Tulip IMO) but Faketoos has super cool and current designs and I have had amazing customer service from them!

Re: Tulip Brand for glitter?
thanks for the recommendations. I will have to check those out! I think this time I am going to research more before I start buying a kit. Everytime I just go out and buy something I find I regret it as I find a better deal/product right after!!

IMO, the Glimmer glitter is good. I love their glue for the stencils. BUT... I love Mama Clowns Glitter from Silly Farm. You can get 3 little tubs for $13 and the colors are really cute. I love the variety.
