Tiny splits
I did a gay pride event yesterday and used my little DFX rainbow cake A LOT. I noticed that the colors kept mixing a bit and getting "muddy." Any tips on how to avoid that? I've previously used TAG one-strokes which are much longer and have thicker lines of color so they didn't do that.

I put my small DFX splits in the lids of my DFX 10gm containers so my excess water had somewhere to go and it made it easier to load (not as deep)

Re: Tiny splits
Is it wearing evenly, or dipping in to the middle?
I use a homemade mini rainbow split (Kryolan, if that matters), and when I was getting to the bottom my rainbows were getting muddier. I refilled it and now that it's all level again, no problem! I figure mine was muddying up because the brush had to squish in through other colours as the sides changed height, if that makes sense, and now that everything's flat again each section of my brush stays where it's supposed to.
Also less water

Re: Tiny splits
Try using less water. The smaller one stroke cakes are tricky at first.

Re: Tiny splits
if I'm using any split cake over and over every so often i find it helps to wipe it off with a wipe. It gets everything clear again - that and you have to have clean water and a clean brush - if i find there is too much water on my brush i tap it on my towel.
