Night Clubs

Has anyone body painted in a night club just wondering what is a reasonable amount to charge. I've been wanting to do this so bad.

I would be really interested in finding this out too. I know there's a couple people on here that do clubs and stuff and pricing would be great to know and how you pitched the gig to the club owners.

I personally haven't done any night clubs yet, so I'd also love to hear some input.

I reckon $15 per face would be resonable...I just did 5 girls for their night out at a masquerade type party..Most of the people nightclubbing are young and dont have that much money,,I think $15 is resonable depending on your area of course, if you are in a more affluent area you could charge more I guess. They love having their face done AND they dont wiggle...

The thread about nightclubs is really spot on because of Cat's input. You really want to get in there with an hourly rate - not PPF. Remember - you are competing with alcohol and you will lose!
I have a weekly nightclub gig. He has a discounted hourly rate because he includes me in his advertising (we are mentioned weekly in his radio ad - the first time I heard in the car I almost pooped myself). But that is the only reason I discount. You will be up late. You will need earplugs and all the stuff that Cat mentions. To get in the door, make sure your websites have appropriate search terms like body painting, uv/blacklight painting, etc. I have had promoters and managers find me that way. Get on Facebook. Look up your local clubs and if it seems like a place you want to try give them a call or email and ask them if they would like you to come on ladies night or some special upcoming promotion. Or painting the dancers. The best way to get the work is knock on some doors and get on the phone.
You can see my club work at the link (nothing special). I do a lot of the same designs, mostly women because that is what the owner wants. But it is different people every week and it works, so sue me, lol!

Seriously though, Cat gave a great breakdown on what you will need. Bring your own lighting.
