Excited to be here! Hi from CT!

Hello from Connecticut! I am new to face painting and I am so excited to have stumbled upon this Forum! I am still trying to figure out how it all works. I sort of eat, sleep & breath face painting these days! No joke! I decided I wanted to start my own business only about 3 months ago and haven't looked back.

I am a bit of a perfectionist which is good for details but can slow me down at times... so I am working on that! My 6 yr old daughter is sick of me painting her face

but I have been able to bribe her with a toy in exchage for "x" amount of faces!!!! Hey, you do what you gotta do! My 10 yr old son is still helpful and willing to be painted. I bought one of those practice heads but now only use it as a last resort. It is kinda creepy looking and I don't like the feel of the skin as I paint on it.... so I paint on myself and my 11 yr old neighbor friend lately.

I am a singer and actor with a BA in Music who has always dabbled in painting. In the past I have painted on glass and worked with a decorative painter on murals and faux finishes.
I am very excited to say I will start my first steady gig face painting this Sunday at an open air market!!! It runs every Sunday thru October. So I am sure I will have much to add to this forum as I get my feet wet! So glad to have a place to bring my questions about a very exciting and unique art! Happy Painting!
