Krolan liquid paint???
Can the krolan liquid paint be used just as is or is it just for airbrushing? I am an acrylic beast by nature when painting on canvas and I even use the tube water color paints when I do a water color. I wonder if I wouldnt like using those instead of the other types of face paint. I don't want to waste my time if there is a logical reason NOT to use these especially with little kids.

Re: Krolan liquid paint???
The Kryolan liquids I tried were too thin to face paint with (same with Mehron) - I think they are meant more for airbrush. But, they may have changed them.
The Fardel (which is my fav) and Fantasy Worldwide liquids are very nice to work with. Snaz liquids are awful - don't even bother with them.

It is possible to work with the liquid Kryolan colours (and they don't smell as bad as the solid ones!), but as Shannon is saying are they thin. For bases they are all right. But for lines, I found it easier to let them dry out a bit before use.
Also think about that they are more expensive than normal facepainting colours.

The Fardel & the fantasy world wide... they are water based Im assuming and easy to get off? Where do you get them at I would like to buy a bottle or two and try them out. I'm currently using Mehron and Wolfe.... I love the wolfe the Mehron are okay but I'm not in love with them.. I like but not love them.

Re: Krolan liquid paint???
Kryolan Liquid is not meant for the airbrush.
The Liquid Aqua Colors are like the cakes meant for face and body painting.
They Kryolan is thicker than the liquid Mehron. Both like any product have learning curves, however very few professional face painters use them for such. Liquid Merhon is used quite often mixed with Mehron Mixing Liquid for the airbrush. Kryolan can be thinned for the airbrush but few do this now that we have specially made airbrush paints. Both companies have newer specilty airbursh paints Kryolan Airstream and the Mehron LUX.
While you like the ease of ther squeeze from a tube paints the closest I can think of that is easy to come by is Mehron FX - creams in a tube. Again a good product with a learning curve.....but but what you want for face painting.
You best bet is to try the most popular before you buy a ton of one brand. Try the top brands and see what you like.
I have never seen FFW in liquid only cream - and profacepaint aka Jody Carr doesn't carry a liquid - and Fardel in the USA is differnt than in the UK and hard these days to come find.
For face painting I love love Paradise and I also use Wolfe and Krylon depending on application. I sell several brands and really try the cakes you'll like them.

Re: Krolan liquid paint???
My Fardel comes from the UK and the FWW I got in Belgium... and when I re-order my Fardel it is from the UK as there aren't any distributors in Canada. I get the EU formula too which is different than the FDA one that gets into the US.

Paula Southern at Amazing Faces http://www.amazingfaces.co.uk/fardel.htm is where I get mine. She ships to Canada, and I assume would to the US too.
